2026 Foals

slightly concerned about Pip. Ive had my niggles thats shes not in foal. daughter and i have convinced ourselves weve seen foal movement, But in all honesty what weve seen could be gut movement. Her udders are not progessing and the size they are could easily be due to the grass. Her back end is the roundest /firmest its been. Then this morning i turned her out and she started squirting and winking at the others. So vet is booked for this afternoon to check.
she should be 334 days 🤞

Oh that's a shame, we had one that scanned in foal before she came back from the stallion, time went on, everyone was convinced they could see movement (except me) but no foal arrived, she must have slipped it early on 😐

shes never been a good doer, but this winter looks very 'well'. From the side she looks like you could hop on and ride., but from the back her belly is wide. Ive been pondering if its a grass/hay belly. Ive googled late term mare and although its not common, apparently they can still be in foal. I was sure i saw a foal move last night. But she does have some serious gut gurgling. At least i dont have to wait long to find out either way.

She’s not in foal , must have slipped it away back .
A fair bit of oedema too . She will need to go in for monitoring if we recover her . Which if I’m honest I don’t think we will .
Time to bring her back into work

That’s so sad. I’m sorry 😔

Lovely to see the new foals on the ground. We still have a way to go yet at 293 days, but things are progressing well. Hoping for complication free foaling for everyone still awaiting their new arrivals.
