Thanks all!

@ycbm shes a German wirehaired pointer - I always wanted a black and white one and she’s just perfect

Have followed the breeder online for years and always admired her dogs. This litter were supposedly all spoken for until it turned out bigger than expected! So we were able to get in there 🥰

Cracking breed, my friend had a smooth haired, brown and white and she was the most lovely dog, so intelligent. Looking forward to the "she's home" photos.

Gorgeous and she's alread getting her nose hair!.:)
I met a chap the other day with a liver and white one and it had the most hilarious spikey nose fur and tufty eyebrows. Totally adorable and with a lovely bold character. He got on really well with my Weims. I rarely see other dogs now, but they were on holiday in the valley and out exploring early. I was really taken with him, so i'm sure you've made a great choice

I love all things pointer. I don't see many wirehaired ones around my way but they definitely have an extra cute factor. She's beautiful!

Oh she’s beautiful!! Another addition to the HPR clan 😁 (I have German Longhaired Pointers).

What are your plans for her? Solely a pet or some working too?

She’s unbelievably cute ❤️

We're so unbelievably excited. Now impatiently waiting for the day to arrive.

We have found a local gundog trainer who we will be hoping to go to with her. Plan is to train to eventually work her (something myself and fiance have always wanted to get into anyway). She won't be having to earn her keep this way, it will be just as a hobby for us all - so essentially a "pet gundog" if that is even a thing (?) 😂. As well as this she will just be a much loved family dog to join us on hikes, hacks down at the yard and mountain bike rides.

I follow a few gundog accounts on instagram that take part in gundog trials. We may never get there (and they all seem to be labs.. 😂) but would love to try and work towards this too

Fabulous! Ours are pet gundogs too 😊 where abouts are you based? There are some fabulous HPR gundog clubs and trainers about.

You need a bit more of a sense of humour to train HPRs than retrievers 😁 they’re so rewarding though!

Thats great to know! Lovely to find some fellow HPR people too - I may be dropping into your DMs for advice in the near future :p. We are near Worcester so also very close to Herefordshire etc (yard is on the border).

Kenny the connemara has been successfully pushing boundaries and trying my patience for the past 12 years so I'm hoping that has been good preparation 😂

Thought I should post a little update! It’s been 1 week today since our girl arrived home and what an absolute cracker she is. So intelligent, willing to learn, barely a single accident in the house or crate and has settled like a dream. I will admit I was not entirely ready for how tiring puppy life is (especially directly following my 3 day hen do 🤣) but I’m so excited for the future with her (but also for the sharkies phase to end - please tell me it’s temporary 🦈)
