What size horse/pony do you have, along with breed/type etc?
Highland pony 14hh approx

What size saddle do you have to ride the above in?
18" XW - XXW ( I have 3 saddles and use them according to whether she is fit or a bit chunky)

What height are you (I wont be cheeky ask for weight) ?
5'7"

What dress size are you?
16

Are you happy with the fit for both the horse and yourself?
Yes, the pony has a long back so can carry the length of the saddle, I could ride in a 17 1/2" if this had been an issue and when the foal grows up he is likely to be shorter in the back and will probably have a 17" - as long as the seat is flat I could fit in that too.

2 x 16.1hh full TBs.
Both ridden in a 17" saddle, one dressage and one cross country.
Am 5'3, dress size 8.
Happy with the fit for the chestnut, would obviously prefer longer legs but hey ho. Grey horse is a bit strong for me so gets ridden by OH who is 6'1, slim build but much stronger, he uses 18" saddles on him.

Don't have a horse anymore, but at the moment regularly ride a few horses between 15.2hh-17.2hh ish.

Not a clue on saddle size!

I am 5ft2 and a size 10/12, and I feel pretty comfortable riding any size

Horse - 15.2 Selle Francais x Arab, lightweight

Saddle size - 17 inch

Height - 5'2

Dress size - 12/14 (but weightwise, you'd think I should be a 16-18

)

Happy with fit - Yes! Although if I am honest, I would want to lose a stone if I were to compete at a high level again - not so much because I feel too big for my girlie, it's just a personal thing

What size horse/pony do you have, along with breed/type etc? 16hh Westphalian LW

What size saddle do you have to ride the above in? 18" Med

What height are you (I wont be cheeky ask for weight) ? 5'11", 11 1/2 stone

What dress size are you? 14

Are you happy with the fit for both the horse and yourself? No - horse is short backed, I have long legs. Seat too big for me but smaller seat too small for male riders and not enough leg room.
Very tricky horse to fit. Have to use pads to achieve a good fit.

Me - tiny but under 5' - size 12/14 depending on cut - built for comfort not speed with short legs.

Horses

Chancer - just over 15 hands gypsy cob - with a streak of TB so bit longer in back and legs than your square box type cob. 17" WH for showing and size 1 Barefoot London for general riding. 17.5 would fit him but personally I feel happier in a 17" as I have short legs.

Farra - 17 hand still growing clydesdale. Big long mare, 17.5" GP and she also has the treeless on her. She could go an 18" but I would hate it as they are just too big for me.

What size horse/pony do you have, along with breed/type etc?

18hh ISH

What size saddle do you have to ride the above in?

19" made to measure Working Hunter and 19" made to measure dressage saddle

What height are you (I wont be cheeky ask for weight) ?

5'9, Size 18 (with a fat A*se)

Are you happy with the fit for both the horse and yourself?

Yes the saddles fit him really well he is a medium to wide fit but has high withers so the saddles need to accommodate that. He big in all ways and is very deep in the girth so the saddles have deeper flaps so his saddle looks in proportion. It fits me very well as this was taken into account with it was made but my instructor is only 5'2 and does look lost in it. Lol

Hi,
My horse is 15.1hh (overheight) connemara gelding.
My saddle is 17.5" and wide fit.
I'm 5'3, approx 8 stone and take 8/10 in clothes.
I could get away with a smaller saddle, but it is very comfortable and fits my boy like a glove, so wouldn't change it.

Are you happy with the fit for both the horse and yourself?

Both saddles were fitted to the horse, so am happy with the fit. The pony's always looks huge on her, but she has had a bad back in the past so needs that big a saddle in order to keep weight off the dodgy bit, but her saddle is as big as you would get on her. On the plus side, it means it is a far better fit for me than her previous 15", which I would struggle to fit my a*** in nowadays. I have been riding in Murphy's (the 15.1hh) saddle for over 5 years, so although it's not as padded as it used to be it fits me very well.

The fit of the saddle or the fit of me and the horse together? I feel ok on him and I'm lucky that he doesn't ride big, but I could do either him being either a hand smaller (16.1hh would be absolutely perfect) or me being a few inches taller with longer legs! I do find it hard to get my leg around him so the dressage saddle should help anchor me in a bit, and luckily he's only ever been ridden by small women so he's used to it.

Well... ok, I KNOW I am too tall for him. but I don't care. I love riding him, I am not too heavy and he doesn't mind the fact that I have to crunch my long legs up like a grasshopper to get any contact

16.2hh Tbx (we think xID - fairly fine built)

17"

5'4'', 8 stone, size 8.

TBH horse could easily take a longer saddle, but I'm not comfy in anything bigger.

Missed last question. Yes, I am very happy with the fit. Completed 160k ERs without pressure bumps and keeps me in firmly in place.

Horse - generally yes, it does fit her very very well, but it may need tweaking as she's had 18 months off in the last two years and I have yet to get saddler out to check. As it's a Wintec though and I am confident enough to assess the general fit of the saddle, I have been using the different gullets and changing them myself as she muscles up. She was in a wide and is now in a medium wide. I would be happier if my saddler could come and check it though (will do in the next few weeks).
For me, it's ok. It's a little bit big in the seat for me as the seat size is to fit my horse and my mum, who also rides her. I would be better in something smaller, but because the saddle has an equisuede seat I don't slide around so I cope perfectly well.
Short answer - generally yes!

16" is perfect for us both, find the TBs saddle far too roomy and too much saddle flap, but it fits her so I don't care!
