If I may say, MizElz, you seem to find problems and bad feeling where none exists.
frown.gif

You got very upset with me, to the point of sending me a PM...now, I never commented on the horse beating thing...and if you read my posts...I do use a whip and smack as and when necessary (but I use a whip with a leather flap so it won't 'cut' them or mark them).
I still think you're the Tranterer...and you're welcome to think that I'm the Devil himself if it rocks your boat

and as far as identity is concerned...I cannot prove that I am NOT the Tranterer...but then you cannot prove that I AM......so I guess the jury is still out.

anyway, we seem to have found God on the forum, so why shouldn't you be the Devil?

pheeewww.... what a load of old guff!! OK.. I can confirm that Heidiboo is NOT MizELz.

Sam - I don't think you did anything wrong. I think some people don't understand, so your dog walkers were just being concerned 'animal lovers'... you can't blame them, but basically ignore them.

MizElz, the reason your post was different are for the reasons someone else pointed out above. The way you wrote your thread was quite different and invited critisism and concern. You were dramatic and make your situation sound far more frenzied. I think you know this, so stop being so bloody self-centered and taking over someone's post.

I fear we are going down the 'am I cruel route' again!
However, I think you were quite right to do what you did. I would have done the same. I always ride with a crop and I very rarely use it (it can get Jerry more wound up than necessary!) but I like to have it to reinforce my leg when absolutely necessary.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed! I have done it loads of times!!!!

Tia - I noticed it from observing things around the forum, such as posting styles, and S answering comments towards N as though she'd made the original comment.

And last night Nepenthe on this thread posted saying Goodnight, making it quite clear - although these two posts have now been deleted.

I don't personally care that you are! I have no problem with you, but I think if you're going to keep saying the Misunderstood and the_tranterer are the same person its a bit hypocritical to have your own alter ego.

TBH I think if anyone feels the need to post under different names on the same post then they seriously need their head looking at. Personally I couldnt give a frig, it's just a forum, just a space on the internet where people from far and wide type words. It's not the be all and end all.

Perhpas if people stop posting comments about mizelz or whatever her name is, and mizelz forgets about this cruelty thing we can all move on.

ANYONE who mentions THAT post again, or refers to mizelz being cruel, ........

I never wanted to bring up anyones posts in the first place, I simply had a genuinely interest in what others would do in the same situation, then I got jumped on.....

Katy I think i need to take some blame here- i was the one who mentioned Miz ELz post in the first place- not to start a debate just to say to Heidiboo that she might be interested in it as it was of a similar nature/ circumstances, then Miz Elz posted and it all kicked off from there........ I am not mentioning previous posts AGAIN EVER

Please don't misconstrue this as anything other than friendly advice.
You do seriously need to let go & move on. I would also suggest that if anyone else posts re their use of the whip that you do not respond other than in a manner that doesn't involve provoking a debate & dragging up the response to your own posts. (For example you could just have replied to the OP "Don't worry - I'd have done the same") You do to an extent invite people to pounce on you, as you are still so defensive about the matter that it is obvious that you are not really happy with your own actions, & to expect people to validate what you did to absolve your conscience over it is just plain silly.
You didn't do anything wrong as far as I can tell, but you did make a serious mistake in the way you posted about it.
To be honest it's not unreasonable for people to have remarked on the similarities to the OP & your own situation even to the extent of assuming you are the same person given the way you immediately came in with the 'Oh so its ok for this person but not for me' response, and also the coincidence of the name Heidi. (Although I'm glad to see that knowing & living near to Kerilli is instant absolution for any suspected collusion........
grin.gif
)
So please, once & for all leave it now & move on.

I have noted your response, particularly that you deny bankrobbing...but are maintaining your silence over the accusation of flashing.

I dont like it when people refer to people who are worried about animals as "fluffy bunny lovers". If I saw someone beating their horse up with a broken off stick then Id likely say something too, especially if I DIDN'T know anything about horses.

If it was just a small tap then fine, however if it was a full blown smack then I dont think you should have done that, not with a stick which has pointy sharp bits sticking out of it!

I smacked him twice in total, firstly, not so hard immediately after 'legging' him on, the second time, again, backing up my legs a little harder than the first, to which he moved on with....the thing is though, and this is what I'm failing to understand, I wasn't looking for anyone's approval, I still maintain that I acted appropriately, I know my horses aren't 'beaten' or 'abused' I stupidly didn't take my crop along (which I always ride out with) and he took advantage of that situation. I had already decided to cut the ride short due to his erratic behaviour and I was trying to get him home again, via the private road to avoid becoming a public liability....due to him fannying about BEFORE getting off the road, where there were both pedestrians and traffic I made a snap decision there and then to break the stick off, get him forwards and away from the public. I would say I'd do it again if I had to, but hopefully I'll not forget my crop...

The only error I made was to forget the crop in the first place, and choosing to continue with my ride when I realised I didn't have it. I don't even know how I managed to forget it as it just feels 'odd' to ride without it there goes.

I merely wanted opinions on what others would have done in the same situation...if someone was to say 'oh I'd have done X...' I may have been 'oooooh that's a good idea' or whatever....

The problem seems to be that MizElz herself keeps bringing the subject up - over and over and over and over again.

I felt quite sorry for her the other day as I thought a lot of people were being quite harsh with her, but good grief, I'm beginning to understand why now...

Miz Elz you made a post with an attention grabbing headline, and proceeded to tell people how badly you'd marked your horse.
You have since said, several times, that your horse wasn't that badly marked.

If you don't like the backlash, perhaps it might be wise to stop over-exaggerating?

Cahill, did you honestly spend all that time thinking up where the next assault could come from? Get a life! I don't spend a minute of my non HHO time thinking of anyone on here, so please, get a life! Its such a sad existence!
