Glad you have been able to chat things through on this thread OP, and hopefully you're taking some time to just think through your relationship, how you feel and where you want to go with things.

To lighten the mood on the thread, some of the turns of phrase on this thread reminded me of something that happened at work earlier this year. Someone had had a package delivered to work but there was no FAO name on it, just the address. After a couple of days nobody had claimed it so the security manager opened the package and found some specialist ball trimmers (who knew such a thing existed?!), and so sent an email out to all employees searching for someone who's 'pedestal mat' is not as neat as it usually is.

Unsurprisingly the clippers are still unclaimed.

Reminds me of when the OH got bored and tried some manscaping.... Cut himself rather badly on a sensitive area where plasters don't really stick.

I do think there is this perception that 'everyone' is doing this, which in turn dials up the pressure to conform, from TV shows like this, glossy magazines etc. But as a relatively young person not long out of my 20s who has seen a fair bit of life it's actually not anywhere near everyone.

(I do think there is a certain faction of young people who need to realise it is a fashion/entirely optional and not necessary though. )

But that's just it isn't people feeling bad about not doing something that is entirely unnecessary and should be about personal choice. There are all sorts of fallacies about personal grooming that people use to make people feel bad.

Off original topic but to lighten the mood...1630140220250.png

Awww OP, I really feel for you. In answer the the original question, I can't comment as mine looks like I'm losing a game of Jumanji at the moment ???
But in terms of your partner, I do think that you need to assess the situation...he is being very unfair. I "prefer" men not to have a beard ..but if Jason Momoa turns up on my doorstep then I'm climbing him like a damn tree ??
You should never, ever be scared to bring up something about your own body, esp with someone you are sexually intimate with...that is NOT a healthy relationship. I think you have been given some excellent advise on this thread and I really, really hope you are able to do the right thing for YOU in the long term xx

Wow! This has been an eye opening thread! Personal differences ignored.

I could never go completely clipped and stripped! Ooft! Tried it once, seriously regretted it! Neatly trimmed and tidied thank you!

My OH dared his housemate to do a back, sack and crack shave when they were drunk. The lad did it. Rode out for 2 days absolutely no bother then it started growing back ... ???? an uncomfortable week or so began ????

That reminded me of a John Bishop standup routine. (Yes, I do watch far too much telly).
He decided to shave his whole body to give his partner a surprise when she returned from holiday. But by the time she got back the regrowth and itching had started. He tried to take up a "Come-hither" nude pose at bedtime, but could only manage to stand there squirming uncomfortably. ?
