Good news! Some folk shouldn’t be buying horses if they don’t know the first thing about the terms surrounding horses. Your advert was very very clear.

Clearly a very novice owner being led round by their nose by a friend. Yes exracers straight out of racing don’t tend to go for that amount however he’s clearly being doing other things and the value has risen. glad he’s got a better home now ?

He’s stunning OP and glad he’s found a new owner. Still not sure what’s wrong with an ex racer ??‍♀️ It’s been an interesting tale ?

Just an update -the viewing went great, and they want to buy him. I made it VERY clear he was an EX-RACER this time. Whilst showing them videos of him racing... like I did in the previous viewing... :)

Really glad it's all been resolved calmly and you've found him a home so quickly. I hadn't seen the advert - he's really lovely! And just the thing a friend is looking for so I do wish I'd seen it earlier.

I feel a bit sorry for the previous buyer, though I absolutely agree it was clear the horse is an ex-racer. I hope they do more research into what is expected of a buyer before they try again. Not everyone would be as decent as you were.

So pleased he sold again quickly.

Aside from the other obvious clues, not quite sure how you wouldn't have guessed he was an ex-racer based on the fact that the previous buyer knew you were as stated an "influential racing family".

I married into a "racing family", and I think she has significantly over-estimated our influence :D
