I don't understand?
What on earth were you thinkingI have wanted to jump that plane for years, but never had something I thought could jump it and transport at the same time (my old cob could, but I don't want to beast him round over bigger fences at his age!). I finally think F might be ready next year. Fingers crossed I can find a buddy
[eta-sorry went on a ramble here :/]
I'm slightly in love with that pony, btw, latest photo is sexy![]()
For Goldenstar - photo help.

I have always been told that ASB's have the most wonderful temperaments. have you found this to be true?
I just meant that a picture of a shiny AT and a picture of Fergus side by side would look good, in a contrasting way![]()
The problem is that I'm wimpy when it comes to XC and my mare has to be ridden with 100% commitment (my instructor used to yell 'ride like a gladiator -death or glory!' during our SJ lessons!). I once rode around Ashridge forest on the day of the sponsored ride and I was passed by a couple of loose horses that had dumped their riders and then run off into the woods. Later I was passed by a rider on foot looking for her horse - which wasn't one of the earlier loose ones because hers was a different colour!
He's stuck here for life now
I have been wondering about an air vest, that surely gives a nice soft landing? Not sure it will go with my gladiator outfit mind.![]()
Could get it made to look like a roman tunic thingy
I now have a glorious mental picture of you in full gladiator costume hurtling over sj fences yelling "To death or glory!" (which is odd as I don't know what you look like, so I'm glossing over the details).
We were using Dave the inflatable dolphin as a filler which doubled as an airjacket landing the other day. Much cheaper than a point2 as he came from poundland![]()

I like that "DEATH OR GLORY" I might adopt that as my xc mottoMine's pretty good about going over things when he's in the zone, he tends to lock on ok, it's just that once he's locked on, he's going over, no matter how - stop dead and full on harrier jump jet launching is not uncommon
Wish you hadn't told me that - I don't want to fall offI don't bounce any more

But can I get away with a tunic made from poundland dolphins?![]()
Right you two I'm joining you with my fence post there will be no wimping out![]()
But needs must a roman style tunic made of inflatable dolphins it is , I can see it now
That would look divine!
I did try to stick him to my back but he kept swimming away

eta, dh will you come to halton next year with me and give me a lead over the plane?![]()
He's special not like other horses clever too clever really but nervous an amazing mover but like lots of very uphill horse he finds it difficult to stretch down he came to me as a driving horse and I drove him for the first two years he was here he hated it( I still feel bad about that) so I broke him to ride at ten and started training him for the dressage two years ago he's obedient trys so hard too hard you can take him anywhere without leading him he will just walk beside stand when you say stand he's absolutely aware of people as individuals a stranger would not get a hand on him only lets me ride him ( that's a real pain) .
I have tried and tried to get him to accept others but he trusts me and my groom although he does not like her to ride him.
He's stuck here for life now .
I call him my care in the community horse.

*eeeeek*
I might be less wimpy on Floss 'I can jump anything if there's food on the other side' Boss.![]()
I found my boy's canter was by far the best I've ever ridden. He hadn't been worked in a long time when I started with him, and I did find that he was fairly difficult at first, but his temperament never wavered. The one time he went a bit nuts and threw me off, he did look terribly sorry afterward!I did also find that for all of his troubles and uncertainty at first, he was one of the most eager to please horses I've ever had the pleasure to work with. Hot Stuff was also very picky when it came to people handling him, but if he trusted you, he could be a real sweetheart. He could be a pain at times, but I sure do miss him!
Yes I dont have a clue where it actually is but I want to jump the plane
Right you shall be on floss and JFTD can be on one side with food and I shall be behind with fence postand if your that worried I'm sure larry lilo would make a good air jacket he might be a bit easier to mould to the body than dave

There's a small jump next to it, so if anyone wimps out, they can jump that and still have a nice photo taken by the photographer at the plane.![]()
Aylesbury - it's not exactly local, but definitely do-able and if we're in the same place we can share a trailer and diesel iuw
YAY
You will need your fence post though as I may wimp out... Though it is only about 3ft apparently...

it's a piddly little 1ft wooden rail though isn't itI must not allow myself to wimp out - I would always look at that pic over the rail and remember that I'd wimped out

That horse looks like it would give you 3 wishes if you rubbed it.
Oh gosh... I'm actually quite scared.
Luckily I now live far too far away to go.
Such a shame that I wont be meeting Mr Fencepost.![]()
Couldn't hit you with the fence post - might puncture you dolphin air tunic![]()
