An Introduction

Looks a good fit for you I’m just under 5ft 5 so fit a 15. 2 easily… glad the first ride has gone well , his temperament sounds brilliant and you should have lots of fun teaching him.. I understand not wanting to document your journey but the occasional pic and update would be nice, I am really pleased for you especially after your rotten luck…

So happy for you, and love the fact your OH has fallen for him too. While I totally get not putting everything on here, updates would be really lovely. He sounds like he will be a lot of fun - and if anyone can keep him sound you can!

I am so happy you found a horse and a handsome one at that. You are sunk. That picture says everything.

Life goals ❤️

Lovely picture @ycbm he really is gorgeous. I can fully understand you not wanting to document your whole journey with him but will relish any updates you choose to share.

Said it better than I could do I quote just to say ‘agreed’!

I was just thinking that! People always put things far far better and more eloquently than I ever can. Ditto what Peglo and ASBMO said!

YCBM he looks and sounds so lovely. There's something about a nice thoroughbred that just makes your heart sing.

Great morning. Ludo's boots fit!!! And since renegades are mega expensive I'm mighty happy about that. He didn't mind wearing them either, for our short hack and longer in hand walk to get him used to what's where. Riding time will increase as he gains more back muscle and better strength in his heels, I'm determined not to spoil anything by rushing. I have all summer ahead to play about with him.

I honestly think with horses there is no such thing as going too slow. All the walking in hand rehab I've done recently has proven to me there is absolutely no need to get up on their back to make them stronger. Rosie pony looked the best she ever did just from 2 x 30 min in hand walks a day in just a headcollar for a few weeks.

He sounds and looks like an absolute poppet. In your recent photo he looks like he's been with you his whole life! Very relaxed and settled. You have an annoyingly good eye for a horse ;).

Another happy post to read on a Monday morning!
I think he looks wonderful, and I love hearing that your OH has a connection as well. As for Ludo's boots fitting him - well, I think it was meant to be.
I hope that you have a lovely summer (and for once, it actually felt summery this weekend!) getting to know each other.
Fantastic :)

I am done for. His old coat came out, the sun came out and the neck in front of me was metallic. The big ears were bad enough but what a sucker I am for a metallic coat 🤩.

Sorry you know the rules - though prepared to wait for a sunny day for the evidence................................!!
