Charlie looks fab.

Sounds like he and Mr Y are instant mates.
You do know that you now have the Horse Who Can Do No Wrong 😉

You have my sympathy, Mr C and Fellboy have the same sort of friendship😁

I'm going out now you Impatient lot!

I was waiting for him to come in so he would be have worn off any excess energy in the paddock. It's very different being in a livery yard from being in your own place. There are lots of other people around and other people are responsible for his care. So I'll try and get some shots of me on him but I won't be using the forum as a diary of his progress as I've done with other horses, sorry if that disappoints anyone.

Back later.

He's a dude! He's so quiet it's almost unbelievable, but at the same time he's engaged and curious. He didn't bat an eyelid at the arena event fences or the other horse in the arena I used. He doesn't care about trotting on the lunge with the stirrups down. He took only two goes to realise that I wanted him to stand at the mounting block and he didn't move a millimetre when I mounted from the stirrup. He rides like an oil tanker that needs half a mile to turn a corner 🤣 Lots of work to do that should be a lot of fun when he's fit.

I wish only good things with him .
7 is a great age it’s easy to change them but old enough to crack on with them .

I used to exercise a horse that was about the same age (when I was younger) that was 17.2 for a 70 year old man who fox hunted said horse (he was also a TB). He was an absolutely lovely horse. Great character and a wonderful ride. Him and his older owner were quite the team!

He looks lovely, and I don't know how tall you are but he doesn't look ridiculously huge there

Thank you SLH. That's big praise when you don't like TB's much. I would have bought your buckskin like a shot but a) I couldn't afford what he's worth and b) I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have parted with him (even if you have got a great dane big enough to put a saddle on! ).
