aww thanks, it has felt like forever, waiting. I would have been OK with any colour but a bay is pretty good (got 3 already so she'll fit right in!)

We have all been waiting and you hid this away in breeding so I have only just seen it, please start a thread in tack room so everyone can see the photos, she is lovely and you cannot go wrong with bright bay.

she is absolutely besotted, very happy mummy. I thought she'd make a nice mum, she's going a great job so far.

Oh had an early night and missed this. She is scrumptious and Salty looks proud as punch. How considerate to foal at 8pm too! Congratulations to you all. Looking forward to lots of Hera spam!

she was exceptionally considerate! we had all the main milestones ticked off by 11pm and were home to sip bubbles at a reasonable hour. how good of her to just get started while I nipped out to do the others and saved the main event for when I got back, too. Good mare ;)

I had one who had both her foals around mid day and I missed them both, the first time I had popped inside for literally a few minutes as she was really not looking ready although it was obviously due within hours, the second my vet was here he had a quick look and having done whatever he was here for came in for a quick coffee, we went back out and he was as surprised as me to find foal on the floor and mare looking smug that she had once again managed to avoid being seen.
No cameras in those days so it was a bit more obvious they were being watched and some seem to hold on for the time that suits them, she was the only one I missed apart from the unexpected one but that is another story.

I love her and the name! She looks a bit skinny to me but that could be because mine has a big milk belly.

thanks :) shes only about 12 hours old in the later pics and she's quite a tall girl so I think we're ok at the moment ? she certainly knows where the milk bar is now ?
