Oh ok, so mine are only part-breds, but I was delighted to hear today that both are on the 2012 Equine Pathway.

How cool is that, especially as the list now has 84 horses on it instead of the 300+ that were on it last year.

So here they are:

Baydale Hector, 9yo 69 pts, by Roviris out of Baydale Chorus Girl (Forest Superman is the CB you might know).

Baydale Kinross, 6yo, 23 pts, by Busk Hill Gunnar (by Ahorn) out of Baydale Jura (by Andes, Forest Superman on dam's side)

And a gratuitous couple of the younger generation:

Baydale Jupiter, 3yo, 0 pts

by Busk Hill Gunnar out of Baydale Juno (Loch Pearl (HIS), Forest Superman again!)

Red Rock of Baydale (Arthur to his friends), 4yo, 0 pts but turning into a great hunter

, by Mr Tobias out of Whitehouse Sonnet (by Storth House Temptation). Unfortunately he is (as it says on his passport) "outside Breed Standards" because he's not bay.

Oh, and the best one of all:

William Hill, 21yo, 341 points, by Current Magic (HIS) out of Summertime (by Mulgrave Supreme). Sorry about the quality of the photos but they were taken a long time ago.

So a huge thank you to Sheila Fenwick of Skipton for breeding me such lovely horses, and to Gina Meschini for starting it all off when I bought William.

Oh how fantastic to be on the Equine Pathway!!! What level are those two competing at?

The first two horses pictured, to me, have very CB heads, eyes and that look about them.

So u should!!! I would still be bouncing and probably have filled them with carrots!!!
grin.gif

So do we need to ask for their autographs now then??
tongue.gif

Crazymare: the xc photo of Hector is him doing his first advanced at Aston. I'm hoping he'll be ready for 3 star next season.

Ross will be doing intermediate in the spring, once we've got the messages getting from his brain to his feet a bit quicker (he's 17.3!)

I only had polos but they seemed quite happy with that. There's a lot more work to be done before they're even vaguely autograph-worthy (little fish in a big pond etc etc).

Well done HH and Hector, and big well done to you Baydale, you must be over the moon! Here's to a good 2009!

Oh really? I heard a rumour that you're trying to make small horses fashionable again?
wink.gif
I love my reject CB.

Fab news they are in the much cliquier clique now! What clever boys. Was William actually bred by the same lady? You're one good long term customer if so! So, when do you get your first uber duber training?

No, William was bred by Gina Meschini but he was my first introduction to the fascinating world of Cleveland Bays. In fact it was Gina who introduced me to Sheila Fenwick when we went shopping for a 3yo.

I've put my name down for training in Feb, plenty of time to do some homework before then.

Congratulations! You must feel so proud! Are you going to start an Arthur fan club, who cares that he is not bay, he has got to be the most beautiful colour ever!!!! I am already his number one fan.

Thank you Baydale for your super photos. What a lovely line up.

Forest Superman two friends of mine in Scotland sent their TB mares to him. One foal was born the day Maggie went to No 10. CBHS would not let her register the foal as Maggie Thatcher without permission from the namesake. So she wrote to 'the lady' and still has the lovely letter.

There is a CBxTB called Maggie Thatcher.

The other friend sold their yearling as soon as it was advertised to Belgium no doubt in a BWB pedigree somewhere.

I have a daughter of Mulgrave Supreme. As an unbroken 15hh 3 year old she escaped from her field. She TROTTED up to a metal five bar gate and popped it with inches to spare. We didn't teach her to canter until l she was five!!

Cheers fly the flag for British breeding

I have sold a colt by Washington Postman x CB to a girl who is eventing on the Junior teams with a CBxTB and is doing well. They are clever and will question you at times, but they give their all.

rollin - William's dam was never backed;she was a butty, solid little mare and I bet you she would have been a scopey, feisty one to ride if she had.

Thanks grousemoor08, I'll go and have a look on there now. I get questions from mine on a daily basis, usually along the lines of "do I have to work today?"
tongue.gif

Baydale, having heard so much about you from a couple of retrobates on here I did not realise you had PB's - those photos are wonderful, please keep flying the flag!

My first horse was a CBxTB and she was amazing. We did a bit everything with her and she really looked after me (well she looked after herself and I was part of the package!!)

I really wish I had her now, with the knowledge I have now as she had cracking paces and would have done really well in the dressage world.

Having said that she was the most amazing hunter and out with the bloodhounds one day she proved how versatile she was.

RIP Mercia Escapade (Elsa)

Well done Baydale and keep flying the CB flag!!

SSM I've kept it a secret for a long time LOL. Only kidding, I'm always bragging about their breeding because most people are so anti any horse with even the tiniest bit of CB blood.

The one that is impressing me the most of our lot though is Arthur: he adores his work and is great fun.

TE As well as eventing I used to do dressage with William and qualified for the national champs at novice level, won at medium, and also was placed in the dressage with jumping champs at novice and open level, won Foxhunter level sj too - he was a proper all rounder! I never hunted him but OH still field masters on him and he is great at that too.
grin.gif

Fantastic pics, you really have a team of stars!
grin.gif
Shows British breeding is still capable of pulling out some awesome horses when put in the right hands
wink.gif
grin.gif

Next time you need a groom at an event you can always give a shout - now I know they are REAL horses
grin.gif

PS You should enter the winter performance scheme though the CBHS or sports horse in the summer.

Arh the secret is out! You have visited the dark side!! Seems you were rather good at it but we knew that already with your BEd always being low!!

Fantastic pics of fantastic horses with a fantastic owner!

How many fantastics did I manage!!

They are such wonderful horses & temperament's to die for as well.

Baydale should be very proud as all the hard graft with them has been her's!
tongue.gif

SSM I think you should take Arthur and do workers on him next season, as you are our resident CB showing supremo. I'll do all the homework, you just have to get on him at shows.

k9h yes I did visit the dark side, but that was in the old days when there was no bling and the flashiest thing about you would have been a stock pin with a pearl or diamante on it.
smirk.gif

And how are you fixed for Houghton 1* next spring? It would be fantastic
tongue.gif
if you could help me with the Huge One.
