Another Spindles Farm

The more of this I'm reading the more upset I'm getting, I have put the links on my FB page asking people to spare a couple of pounds, it makes me ashamed to be part of the human race.

The sad thing is that people are still breeding when already the market is saturated with unwanted horses/ponies that people can't afford... This winter its going to be more important than ever to send even £1 a week to help :0(

Here, here.
It is so sad, poor animals are suffering out there and they are helpless, they cant help themselves by seeking out help, so very sad.
Too many greedy idiots are breeding still, this needs to be stopped somehow

I can't believe how generous the online horsey community is (as a relative new comer to the joys of this forum!) keep it up everyone.
Bump.

Yes its a great crowd here :)
I have a direct debit each month helping an animal charity, wish i could do more. I keep wishing i could win the lottery and get out there and help these animals in need

Donated and bumped...

Those poor poor animals... how can human beings be so uncaring, negligent, evil, awful and cruel?

There just aren't words to express how terrible this is.

Wish I could take even one of them in. :(

Cried when I read that this has happened again. Breaks my heart. Have donated a small amount (all I can afford at the mo) but I do have rugs and headcollars hanging around. Do redwings want them ? postage to Ireland may be a bit much for this lot

It's Northern Ireland so still classed as UK. I'm going to use a courier to send mine. Have a look at parcel2go who show the prices of different couriers - they are normally cheaper than Royal Mail.

I feel really sick about the animals in the current crisis, and this is a warning,
I have driven past that particular holding on many occasions in the last few years, saw the place advertised for sale some years ago, watched it being sold, and then watched as ponies and horses appeared in the fields alongside the road. I often wondered who owned the place and what they did with all the ponies. On at least three occasions I pulled in at the side of the fields on the road, but they always seemed to have haylage in a ring feeder, yes the fields were muddy but there was some grass, particularly in the summer months, and as I said they did not look from the road as if they were starving, I am lethal at cruelty to animals, any animal, and in fact I have two rescue ponies from Crosskennan. I suppose what I am trying to say, is that it does not always happen behind large fences, and down tiny side roads. I know it is one mistake I will never make again. PS it is only this morning as I passed the premises again, that I realised that it was that particular road.
