dont forget they are running their Christmas Raffle at the moment, with some great prizes, even if you are "over the water", another way to donate, and of course they have Christmas cards for sale.
If anyone would like to send me spare rugs or headcollars, I am going down hopefully at the end of the week I can take them down with me, I can make another run down later next week as I live just 25 minutes away .
Message just released from Crosskennan Lane on their fb page

‎*PLEASE SHARE* - LISNEVENAGH RESCUE APPEAL - WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We DESPARATELY need funds donated due to the number of animals rescued from Lisnevenagh Road - we are having to provide intensive care and feeding for them all and the cost of this operation is already running into thousands. Some people have very kindly made donations and we would like to say a MASSIVE thank you for your generousity. For those of you who wish to donate please click on the link below: http://www.crosskennanlane.org.uk/Make-a-Donation.aspx
again and I know this is, as said before shamefully bumping, but if you are going to a function (yes it is that time of the year) get some raffle books and take them with you. It is probably better to ask permission of the function director first, but if they have not heard about this, direct them to Media reports, and I think you will find they will say okay.. Now I know this is going to annoy some people, but we have just had Children in Need, now lets have Ponies in Need, Okay!
C'mon, you guys really came through for Operation Ester, around the time I joined the forum, and one of the reasons I joined it, these guys are in the same boat, they need help right now.
Come on guys, it's Christmas, we can all do without that extra tin of quality street or celebrations and instead donate the pennies so these ponies can have a chance.
The enforcement authorities do not have an endless pot of money and rely on the charities. The best evidence to ensure a conviction in a Court of Law when it comes to proving causing unnecessary suffering or failing in the duty of care, is to show how easily these ponies can be brought back to health with basic husbandry of food, water and routine veterinary care. This then demonstrates beyond reasonable doubt that the needs of the ponies had not been met.
For this to happen the charities have to be able to document full details of each and every pony and the care/food they have been given. This along with actually providing the feed can put a huge burden on the charity, every penny helps.
