Another Spindles Farm

Bought a few little bits to send today (headcollar and some grooming stuff) which I can thank my SS for for making me go into the shop ;)

Any chance any of you NIers can go round local livery yards and pick up old rugs etc and take them down?

Come on people, donate - slipped to pag 3 again!

Here is the link if you wish to donate http://www.crosskennanlane.org.uk/How-you-can-help.aspx - I know you can spare a pound, it takes seconds to do and will be the most wonderful gift you can give at Christmas. :)

I know its nearly a week since Antrim cruelty case came into public knowledge, but.........and its a big but.........they still need as much help as they can get. and I for one am going to keep bumping.......

Just got an email from them to say they received the rugs I posted. Thankfully I think they will come in useful, although I am aware they were old rugs!

Feels good to know I've helped to give two horses a warm xmas :)

Forgive me, I don't mean to sound hardhearted, but what are these people breeding? OK the bottom may have allegedly fallen out of their market, bu what was the product which had originally held such promise? Personally I have been amazed at the prices commanded for some traditionals, some a super sorts with good conformation, movement ans above all temprament. These poor souls look like 'natural' breeding, bung a coloured colt in with coloured mares and see what we get.

Are 'we' the horse buying public paritially to blame?

I would add that I don't have any specialised knowledge of coloureds but looking at it as a business, provide what the buyers (think) they want etc etc. OK, let's be blunt, when we buy a horse, if we like what we see do we care how it came to be?

Apologies for sounding grumpy, but have had a bad(ish) day and was so upset to see these animals.
