Any Bruce the Unicorn fans out there?! *pics*

Oh give it a rest! Personally I always wear a hat because I have a horse who is prone to dangerous behaviour, and my other one is a youngster....so I choose to wear a hat.

However, all this self righteous shite trying to force what YOU believe on someone else is making ME want to ride without a hat just to piss you off!

If they want to ride hatless, what business is it of yours? You seem so concerned about the people who may end up looking after them should the worst happen, but ultimately it won't be YOU who has to do the looking after, so just back the hell off FFS!

Bruce looks fabby! I love love love that match set! I might have to show BabyGrey some piccies of Bruce to show him how he's going to look when he's all growed up!

LMAO.

Exactly. I have never said to *anyone* that they shouldn't wear a hat, and would be a better rider without one. I have also never said I am a great rider because I don't wear a hat. I don't push my choices onto anyone else.

Thank you very much! I'm glad everyone else can see the improvements too!! The matchy blue really suits him doesn't it? It's gorgeously soft too.

Please post pics of BabyGrey, I love love love that pony :)

Well said. Since joining just before Christmas I've been PM'd on a number of occassions, each time calling me a b**** and a t*** or some other expletive, saying that they hope I fall off, die and 'prove them right'. Which has had me in tears. If a user cannot post something nice, or something constructive/useful/helpful/enlightening.....I really wish they would just avoid my threads.

Jeezz some people take things to far. To wish death on another person for whatever reason is disgusting. No wonder us equines are seen as bitchy.
I hope you reported them.

To bring thread back on topic I love Bruce! (as said previously) but he is just so stunning :)

And to those who report to NM.

I don't set out to infuriate or upset her. Just to make her think.

Will have to friend you on FB (already have your sister on there!) as that's where my BabyGrey piccies live!

I did report them, have noted that 2 of them have disappeared off the face of the H&H earth which is good! The worst one was when they said they would celebrate me turning into a vegetable by falling off hatless. If they wanted to inform and enlighten me, they didn't!

Ahhh thankyou, I will give said handsome boy a smooch and horsey boob scratch from you tomorrow!!

GOD!!! at the end of the day its up to each and every individual person if they wear a hat to ride their own horses. If they dont wear a hat then they reep the concequrnces if something happens. I do wear a hat on my current youngster but on occasion did not on my old horse. That may be silly of me but at the time thats what i did an i dont care what others opinions were - selfish, maybe but it was MY decision.

Nikki, Lovely piccies. He is looking very uphill, a beautiful ride x

Bruce is looking amazing!!! i liked him before but now he looking all trim he looks even more like a magical unicorn! :D goodluck with the comps :D

try to not let the posts about hats/no hats get you down. as you say, its YOUR decision and you don't force it on anyone so just ignore them as best you can :)

Only just seen this; ahaha je suis une daddy long legs!! Or a preying mantis....

Aww pamper session for the pony!! Next step = surgical hair removal on ears...

And danker, I have ze dead sheep and ze bling bling to help me along the way :)

I'm jealous - I'm five whole feet tall which is clearly how i get away with riding my pony!

Hair removal on her ears - are you MAD? LOL.. Ears are a no go where she is concerned, when I got her, I was absolutely not allowed to touch them - had to build her bridle on her head. She's got aural plaques (scarring from flies in her ears) and only on very special occasions am I permitted to touch them. I think if I took scissors to them without sedation, I'd have a one eared pony!

I suffer from the same problem if I wear my hat for longer periods of time (i.e at shows) and my hat was professional fitted.

:) It's a bugger isn't it?? Thankfully I don't do much hacking so unless I'm competing or riding off my own land/some elses horse - I don't have to wear it!!

Owch poor pony!! Okay....ear fuzz allowed! Bruce is very funny about his ears too. I'm allowed to touch them if I'm washing him, or putting his bridle/headcollar on, or pulling them into the ear holes of his field-face-mask.....But if I just want to give them a scratch - it's off like a shot. Fortunately me and PS are experts in pinning down hairy nags for hair removal so after fighting for 5 minutes he gives in and stands quietly, silly sausage!

PeerieLee & Diggerbeez - Thank you for your comments :) I have found le user ignore button, so it's all easier if I just can't see it!!

Interesting to hear about your hip issues in relation to the saddle - I also have a dodgy hip(s) (mostly the right one) and find lateral work especially quite hard at times. I'm wondering how this is actually effecting how I ride now, even when it isn't hurting! It does also seem worse in some saddles :/

Anyway, you both look lovely! :D I reeaally want one of those new eskadron sets now though! :p

Yes - never thought a different saddle would eradicate it as a problem for me, just assumed 'oh I have a dodgy hip it will always hurt when I ride and prevent me from sitting straight and having control over shifting my weight in the saddle etc'. So so strange, thoroughly recommend trying a few different saddles, you never know!! I dip my right shoulder as a reaction to the pain, and an attempt to prevent it. But as soon as I sit up, Bruce is straighter, more fluid and easier to communicate to!! :p

And thankyou!! Haha....go on.....goooo on!! You know you want to. Calevo is calling to you!!!

*sigh* I love Bruce ... I'll be honest, it did take me quite a while to figure out that you and PS were not, in fact, the same person :p

I actually have very little problem in my saddle (Farrington) but I ride a lot in the Bates/Wintec Isabell Werth saddles and they seem to make it worse? However, as I don't do much sitting trot/lateral work on Dante yet maybe I just haven't had to hit that snag! For the moment I've just noticed that I completely fail at getting my heels down in my saddle!? It's great that you've found a solution to your hip problem though, perhaps at some point I'll get to try an Innova! I do love Bates saddles generally :)

I should get paid this week so maybe next weekend :D I love the dark purple/beige-y striped cloth.... Not sure if it'd go with the ginger but oh well! :D

Bruce is gorgeous! Always love reading your and your sisters posts, wish mine looked as good as yours do! Good luck for Vale View and second rounds. :)

not a nice end to a show day!! going home and having to lie in a dark room trying not to throw up :D

best report me quick!!!

You should be ashamed of yourself posting a pic like that!

There's not a scrap of matchy matchy in sight! Lol

Well Bruce is just sublime, this much we know!!

As a sufferer of terrible head aches from things on my head (sunglasses, hairbands etc) I can sympathise with you re: the hat issue.

I too am in love with his gorgeous colour scheme. I don't even have a rideable horse atm and I think I want to buy a set :D

Bruce is gorgeous and looks fab. He is so streamlined in the pics and looks so much more up in front. Well done :)
Shocker that it brought up the hat debate. Its so boring zzzzzzzzzzzz.

Also the person who put the hat on rules (for making me lol) but they seemed to forget they could of put his unicorn horn on, that would make the picture complete....... :D:D:D

Problem Solved :) :p *giggles*

WithHat.jpg

Me and PS are literally weeing ourselves laughing!!! That is brilliant. I don't know if anyone reads Horse magazine - there was a teeny thumbsized feature of me & Bruce in there and they photoshopped a skull cap into it!! JessPickle - you did a MUCH better job.

I have a request....can you photoshop a unicorn horn into it as well?!!!

Thankyou, nice to hear everyone can see what I can see in the pics!

Yeah, total shocker it's the same nosey person bringing it up again! *yawns*

See!! I'm not the only one with a weird squishy skull!! Hairbands give me terrible skull ache - sort of ruins my look when I have to keep putting them on and off again!

Do you have a large dog that could wear a matchy matchy set....? ;)
