Grrr I am!!
None of my family are horsey at all, and whilst they let me get on with things and don't interfere too much with things, they have little digs at me, not on purpose, but because they don't understand.
Take tonight, I have been feeling like death warmed up all day but went to uni all day from 9am till 2:30pm. Headed over to the yard to bring in Ebony (my share horse)
and hold her to be clipped, mucked out etc, and got home at just gone 6pm.
Parents asked why did I go to the yard if I wasn't feeling well. [
!] I turned round and said well she's not going to muck out her own stable, make her feed, stand still by herself for clipping and put herself to bed is she?! Wasn't in the mood to argue but they still don't understand why I didn't come straight home from uni...
Horses are banned from conversation at the dinner table.
I always get told I smell of horse, well maybe I like to smell of horse...
I got asked if I would return my brand spanking new riding boots (ahhh they are sooo nice) that I chose for Christmas and have singing lessons instead, because apparently I have a nice voice
Please tell me I'm not the only person who gets this at home, it's beginning to drive me stir crazy
