Its been a week and a half since Oreo the idiot injured herself again and i am so utterly bored and frustrated not being able to ride! Especially since we were doing so well together, and merely 2 days beforehand got 68.2% in our second ever novice test
No idea how she managed to do it, looked around the field several times with no evidence on any of the fencing....she is a mystery wrapped in an enigma. Link to a pictures of how we found her below. Theres a deep puncture to the inside of her knee (the vet stuck her finger in it and it turned out to be much deeper than i first thought!) and a deep wound on the outside of the knee that went to the joint capsule.

Looking sorry at the vets
Stitches on Wednesday
And then Friday
The stitches are starting to come apart a bit more so she'll have another scar to add to her collection but i don't think it will rival the one on her hind leg thankfully!
Luckily the vets have been very positive about her recovery so far, the bandage came off on friday, and the stitches might be coming out tomorrow. If all keeps going well i may even be able to ride in 3 weeks time...fingers crossed! Hopefully it wont be too long and we'll get back on track as we were just starting to build up our jumping to more reasonable heights too! And to end on a happier note here's a pic of said bigger jumps (for us lol).
So who else out there is feeling the frustration of having an injured horse??
P.s sorry the pictures are so huge
