My horse was 6 on sunday....I cant say I have ever had too many problems with him....(touch wood) but I have to say apart from a few child like sillies while out riding he is as good as gold...ive never known a youngster take on so much and just act so maturely about it.
When I bought him he had mouth problems from where the bit had rubbed and caused painful soars without his owners noticing, he was very head shy, his owner had fallen off of him which had shocked both him and the horse and he not been ridden for a while, he was as fat as a pig, had a stinking attitude and greeted everyone with his ears back and had only just been shipped from france so was prob a little scared.
We had to wait weeks before we could buy him due to the owner not really being very forth coming but in the end he was ours....
I can not say I have ridden a better horse. I rode out in my western saddle yesterday and he was just great....few neighs on the way, but didnt flinch at any traffic and walked on lovely....even when another horse goes by he just stands there looking at them....
this was when I first rode him 1 week after arriving
This was last summer
Has anyone ever had a horse where they have just known he/she was the one?..I cant quite describe it without sounding silly but there was just something about him that made me want to buy him...
