Whilst researching an article for Breeding News for Sport Horses on the sire, dam, dam's sire and breeder of all the horses (including reserves) selected for the GB teams for Hong Kong I came across this site.

Sadly for British Breeding there is only one British-bred horse in the entire list, Miners Frolic by Miners Lamp but he does have absolutely top class connections as two of his joint owners Mr & Mrs Embiricos also owned the legendary Ela Mana Mou who cost 4500 guineas as a yearling in 1976 but went on to be top 4 year old flat racehorse in Europe in 1980. Amazingly as this web site shows, Ela Mana Mou is still alive and well and happy today at the age of 32 after a very long successful career at stud. Lets hope Miners Frolic rewards his owner's faith in him by being as successful in his field of activity.
