Anything like these boots?

First of all I only just bought the black and blue ones this week! I'd rather have a black pair of boots to go with them than return the chaps! Second, I already have brown chaps and brown jodhpur boots, though they're not as nice looking but they do the job. Third I only bought brown to go with my Parelli jacket I acquired as that too is brown, I frankly wouldn't wear brown in general! If I really didn't want those black and blue chaps I logically wouldn't have bought them in the first place
First world problems just save for the ones you like as nothing else seems to fit the bill for you- do you have a birthday coming up that someone can help contribute towards them as a gift. FWIW MH are great, I have a second hand pair of long boots and they are still going strong

Ya know what? forget it... sorry I asked. I'm not replying anymore as all I'll get is further criticism and I'm not here to justify myself among people who don't even know me and are quick to judge based on my requirements or circumstances. I'm starting to get put off saying anything in response incase I get someone else telling me how "picky" I am or that I shouldn't bother if I can't afford such luxuries or whatever. Ya know what really bothers me about this thread? It's that I made it quite clear what I wanted and what I didn't want in my opinion and yet that's not really what I received as suggestions and yet I feel I have to justify myself for saying "no thank you" due to those who get all uptight and offended because I refused them. To be honest it makes me wonder whether they even bothered to read what I asked for nor looked at the ones I was comparing it to before responding and it amazes me that some people react in such a negative way as if they expect some kind of praise from their suggestion even though it wasn't what I asked for in the first place. Hell I've even tried to be appreciative and polite to people and there's at least one or two who feel the need to jump at me. It's moments like this when I'm not surprised that people say how bad the horse community really is, you only have yourselves to blame for that. And no I'm not saying everyone in this thread were bad, most of it was good, but I get so sick and tired of the odd one or two jumping in with guns blazing.

Just want to say thanks to poi for his suggestion, can't say I like em though, double tags and a bit plain and all, not sure if it was suggested before as I'm sure I've already seen them. However, I do appreciate your review on the other boots and I'm glad you like the ones you suggested, your feedback is much appreciated

FYI to Puff; my family do not gift anything in regards to birthdays or hell even christmas nor contribute toward anyone in our family who is able to provide for themselves, mainly due to personal circumstances and needless bickering and drama. Thanks for the suggestion though, it would have been an option but of course you didn't know about my personal issues. Also what are FWIW? I don't know why people keep feeling the need to tell me MH are great, I never doubted that..

And on that note I'm done. You know there's a saying in this country; "if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all" I hope that people here can be the bigger person and take that into account before attacking me any further regarding this post or any other that I may have made that they feel necessary to do so.

I think some of us were just trying to help, seeing as what you were looking for doesn't seem to exist for the money-so we recommended other boots that we've liked. seeing you pretty much begged for replies rather than googling like the rest of us. but you are welcome to my time for free, no thanks necessary.

its not the first thread you've started and not liked the answers, then got a bit rude and then flounced. there is a common denominator though. until the next one :D

But you can easily remove the front tab if you don't need it? Do you want that much tread on them?

I have tuffa short boots that I've had longer than my pony (so about 15 years) that are still functional, resoleing not an issue with any of my riding boots.

I guess it's irrelevant now you've had a flounce, on a forum you do need to be able to cope with the 'odd one or two' responses that don't fit your brief.

Small man syndrome.

Indeed! What a kerfuffle over something that might not even fit him when it turns up anyway, double tags or not!

But if you are still reading this those blue and black chaps you bought have an equally hideous matching boot

Dublin intensity zip front boots. They were well over £100 initially but no one wanted them so they got sold off cheaply. Theres usually some kicking about on ebay very cheap.

And then the OP is going to “skweam and skweam and skweam until I’m sick”......
🙄😄 (for anyone who doesn’t get the reference, it is Violet Elisabeth Bott in the Just William books by Richmal Crompton)

My Kramer magazine got delivered this morning and they have a pair of boots that look very similar to the ones you've posted . They are called , " steeds riding boots trail." Brown or black and £44.90, free delivery until the 26/3. I can't speak to the quality but I've only ever read positive reviews about Kramer gear .

Nah, he won't like the tabs on those, didn't you read his requirements properly? ;)

A simple "nothing comes to mind" wouldn't have hurt nor would simply not replying at all, no one forced you to click the reply button, or better yet; when offering an alternative try to find something that actually fits the bill, even if it's £10 more it's not exactly £100+ Although it still amazes me that some of you think that's a great price which is why the market is so corrupt in the first place. Traders ain't the fool, they find them, and once they do they smell a huge profit gain, good to know most of you wish to contribute toward that, I sure as hell don't.
Also, would love to know why you've gotten on the paddy wagon since I did not say anything to offend you before now, I just simply felt your suggestion wasn't what I was after. As for my previous threads? goes to show how little has changed on here and the replies I got there too were just as bad if not worse. As for flouncing? frankly anyone would be walking away feeling angry from this level of utter immature nonsense! If you don't like opinions why are you even posting on a public forum? And you call me rude? You really should read back through this thread from one or two others before I actually decided to flip. I had not warranted such comments in any way so of course I'm going to get angry about it.

I'm not really that surprised, they're so glossy even my Lieutenant from my Cadet years would have been proud that he could his face in them!

Ironically interesting considering I did ask about Steeds in a previous post, I am intrigued at least so thanks for the suggestion.
As stated earlier, I wouldn't go for double tags but there are those without in this particular brand so I may yet decide on something else made by them.

Could they not spell "squeam" either? Also, no surprise that this is a children's book, great reference..

"Continue to defame me and slander me on here and I'll be sure to contact an admin directly as I'm growing tired of your childish nonsense."

Oops I appear to have touched a nerve.

Oh dear.....so, irony passes you by, classic literature (whether adult or children fiction) doesn’t resonate with you...... the quote seemed entirely appropriate given your puerile responses :D

No, its the fact that a children's book doesn't, why would it? I'm 34, that kind of literature does not appeal to me, not to mention it's just rather juvenile and none amusing nor interesting to be frank. Also, don't try to use big words with me, since you can't even spell simple slang properly, it really doesn't suit you I think and I'd hate to have to explain myself to you when I reply in a similar fashion due to not being able to actually understand. Anyway, as you said to me, go away little man and go troll in another thread.

Lmao - nice try but epic fail :D :D

On what exactly? if you're going to say something at least be more specific in what it regards otherwise you just look an utter fool for talking such utter rubbish. Oh and by the way, "epic fail" is so yesterday's street crap, try something new next time, better yet try something a bit more original.

You are thinking of that purple one from Charlie & the chocolate factory..... ummm.... Violet Beau-something? :)

The troll has no sense of humour however & doesn’t find anything funny ;)

*sigh* this is getting old pretty fast.. Excuse me for not having the humour of a 10 year old, I happened to mature after hitting puberty, what's your excuse for doing the opposite? Oh and by the way, continue with this and the next post you make will be flagged for trolling and attempting to defame, you have been warned. A joke's a joke, we've both had our fun, enough is enough.

Well you have to wonder why they returned after the previous flounce.

To reply those worth replying, and some that were not who warranted it regardless. Some people have to be put in their place whilst others still deserved my thanks since they still offered their view regarding my OP despite my detest of others and didn't try to join the paddy wagon for attention, unlike some people.. Namingly yourself and your butt buddy. What's the matter Lév, can't fight your own battles so you drag someone else in as well?

No, surely ester is thinking about the spoilt one who demanded the squirrel...

ETA: apologies OP, I have no suggestions as don't take your size of shoe :p I have some Ariats in black which are amazing, and I wear them to compete sometimes, though obviously not with blue and black chaps

you what? You returned after 2.5 years after a previous flounce to reply to those worth replying to?
Lesson learned I will not seek any further advice and guidance from the people in these forums as this wouldn't be the first time I've had to deal with this kind of crap. Some of you ought to hang your heads in shame, its people like that who really do let this community down for others. Thanks, I'm out.

I thought my initial post was pretty helpful actually, given that you wanted value for money and I was saying I have had those boots for nearly 15 years. Obviously you don't think so. I don't see why questioning a quote I clearly didn't even take the time to read properly makes me mates with Lev!

they were both awful, initially I think I was thinking violet, but it was veruca who did the I want tantrum. I preferred the twits really though, and esio trot.

The squirrel??!! I don’t remember that, and I only watched it at Christmas! I was thinking of the Violet link - as I recall she turned a wonderful colour in the film when she chewed gum? :D
