Anything like these boots?

That is OK, they do from 3.5 to 7.5, and the only size missing is a 6. So, they do have a 5!!!!! In black!!!! With no front tab!!!! And cheap as chips for someone who needs to buy extra feed because of the snow!!!!!

I think they look OK

Especially for 12.99!!!!!

Hmm, actually yeah they look ok, especially for their price and all. Not really all that sporty looking but I wouldn't grumble for cheap boots and they certainly look better than most I've seen around that price range, I do prefer rounded toe and from the looks of the anke it may even be more rigged than the standard jodhpurs? bit difficult to see when they haven't added an image for that. So it's certainly something to consider even just for the short run, so thanks for that. However, recent try outs in local sports and tack shops have made it clear to me that I'd be better off in a size 6 which funnily enough they do not have in stock at the moment... lol.

I honestly don't see what's so damn funny about being small footed or even short in height, infact being small has it's advantages, it means I can manage fine on a pony which many will tell you is far easily maintained than most horses and can live on next to nothing. Also, being such a small guy means, theoretically, I should be reasonably light weight which should be a pleasure for any horse to carry around.

WHAT????? I go searching for size 5s, find a load and then you want a 6???? You don't think that is slightly irritating???

Sorry I guess I should have updated that info a little sooner o.o; If it's any consolation I do appreciate it and hell I'm pretty sure most boots have sizes up from that :P

ooo good find on the sole there! steel toe too. To be honest I'd say they're pretty amazing for such a cheap boot.

Also found this that sort of interested me:

Ya know if it's any consolation you've gave me something else to look at, thank you! However links would also be appreciated else I can't look at it or buy it without digging for it myself :-P

By the way, I wasn't exactly looking for a cheap pair to that level, I was looking for something that may last but this is certainly something to consider for now. I never said I wasn't happy with the £60 price but the cheaper the better as I'm sure most people would prefer to save money as well as getting the best out of what they've bought.

BTW ( that is By The Way to you) I don't think I ever said small is funny?????

Again, personally I really don't like those, but each to their own...

BUT

If you want steel toecap work boots then they are as cheap as chips...

Black, size 6, £21.95 free delivery, need to cut front tab off.

More sporty? Personally I hate them, but £49.99, leather, black, size 6, only one tab...

Wow damn, if only hat wasn't suede.. lol ._.; I don't particually like suede, not very durable, easily damaged and not normally weather proof. Soles are very interesting though.
Oh and for the record, my current brown ones are suede lol. Honestly? I wish I never bought em but I donno if I could return them, there's a little mark on them that I don't know I can remove?

So from what I can tell work boots or casual boots are something I'd be interested in based on the toe and sole principle, again I thank you for showing me these Red, they may not be all sporty like the ones I liked to begin with but it certainly has given me food for thought.

Ok ok, simmer down.. lol. I appreciate the help but I can look myself now that I know what to search for, though alot of these look pretty good for their price and have alot going for them, again it makes me wonder why some jods and tall boots are so damn expensive when compared lol. Honestly? I just think it's due to the way the market is played and how people contribute to it..

LOL indeed. You are rude to people who try to help, change parameters half way through, tell people off for going off topic, ask for people to be on topic and then when I spend some time searching I am told to "simmer down" as you can search yourself??

ETA (that is Edited to Add for you) I really thought I had it at the last one :(

Actually I was snapping at those who were rude and unhelpful to me. Also, I feel that I should be condoned for having an opinion to what I was offered not criticized and ridiculed for it. Naturally anyone would respond defensively toward that. Also I haven't said I didn't like the last one, just give me time to look and decide for myself too ;-P Though those last ones are appealing to me, if that's any consolation.

can't stop laughing..:D

cba with OP tbh

What is cba? doe me a favour and don't use acronyms, especially if it's a forum term, I honestly don't understand that lingo.

I think so but would be worth reporting to admin because let's face it, the forum can do without this poster :p

To be honest with such an attitude as yours I'm surprised you're still here yourself. You do know defaming and soliciting the act of is against the T&C too yes?

I think Red deserves a plaque to put on the wall as well as a medal for this one!

FFS stop over reacting, the big difference here is Red did something right unlike some of, if not most of the rest of you and certainly didn't try to join the paddy wagon to bring me down just for having my own opinion. You question whether I should be banned from here? You ought to take a good hard look at yourself and be ashamed at what you have done. Now I won't ask you again, leave this thread and don't respond any further, I assure you every negative and ill mannered response you give is being reported.

So that’s me, Ester, DabDab, Rowreach AND Milliepops who shouldn’t be here... priceless :D

I rather got the impression that you knew what you wanted, going by your very specific criteria, so why start the thread if you can look yourself? I'm sure plenty of the information given by others on here will help someone else out, even if you don't like it. Which is sort of the point of a public forum.

Anyway, just in case it's useful to anyone, I have the Dickies dealer boot and I can say they come up large, as do a lot of men's safety boots. They are very hardwearing, I have had mine for a few years and used them for everything from riding to walking the dogs to fixing cars. They are actually pretty waterproof for a boot that isn't advertised as such and the soles on mine are hardly worn. I've got sheepskin insoles to tighten them up a bit and as a result they are exceptionally warm and comfortable.

I have a pair of Steeds boots and they are ok, but not terribly hardwearing and I probably wouldn't buy another pair.

Oh, and BTW (by the way) no-one has actually defamed you so get your pants out of a tangle and try to calm down a bit. It's only a post about boots (plus some random stuff that happens here a lot) on a forum, nothing to raise your blood pressure over.

Glad you acknowledge that, despite your sarcasm, you obviously noticed a pattern, now I wonder whether you'll even learn from the common trait among you that obviously bothered me. Fact is you treat people poorly and you'll get the horns, if you don't want rudeness don't be rude in the first place!

Defaming and soliciting?! ummmm OK.
You can't go about sending threatening PMs to people and then accuse others of breaking forum Ts & Cs. if you spent more time reading the positive contributions that everyone on this thread makes to the forum and less time being tetchy then perhaps you'd get along better on here. You've had a phenomenal amount of help from people, and I don't think I've ever seen such rude and ungrateful responses from anyone *ever* on HHO! Perhaps ester will make you a badge too, because that's quite an achievement! :D

Fact is I already had looked before I posted else I wouldn't have even bothered wasting my time and trouble. However, due to REd I'm actually glad I did as it has given me a new perspective. Anyway, thanks for the feedback on the Steeds and Dealers.
