As title says - if not any other decent boots?

I'm looking into getting some new riding boots (hopefully:D), but could really do with extra comfort.

well we got some zip up jods that cost £80 lasted 5 years but couldnt afford another £80 to replace so got some dublin zip up ones and the only difference is the price, £40, and the logo :D

completely! love mine...had them years and I have managed to wreck 2 pairs of MH my hunter wellies and some short MH too! Ariat all the way!

I think it depends. They are very comfy and look smart, but of the few pairs of ariats I've bought over the years none have lasted more than six months before thye became so cracked/falling apart that I could no longer wear them. Saying that I am a groom and they do get incredibly hard wear! Not many other boots last longer than 6 months with me either! If you plan to just use them for riding and really look after them then I'd think they'd last much longer. I still crave after ariats now but can't justify spending so much money on them when I know I would just destroy them!

Dublin boots dont have the same footbed which is why they are so much cheaper.

Ariat have amazing footbeds which make them so comfy. I wear Ariat Tellurides all day long almost every day at work. They are worth the money and are durable. Plus if you have a problem with them they will quite often replace them without much quibble.

I've only ever had a pair of the mudbuster wellies but I'd definitely buy from them again, purely because of how fab their customer service is!
I'd had them for few months (comfiest wellies ever!) and unfortunately they started leaking - I emailed ariat about it at about midnight, not expecting a response for a few days - I got one within two minutes! They apologised, asked me for some details & photos and then sent me a replacement pair the next day - couldn't have been happier as I hadn't expected that!

Going against the grain here but personally I think they are overpriced for the quality. I have yet to have a pair that have lasted over 6 months before the leather has cracked, and them being in holes. My last pair the sole came away from the boot within 6 months. I also has a pair on which the zip broke with my foot inside the boot (they were 2 months old). I carefully cut down the fabric on the side of the zip, and sent them back to the shop I bought them from who sent them back to Ariat. Ariat refused to replace them as they claimed by cutting them I had deliberately damaged them . What did they want me to do, cut my foot off . Seems a bit darastic for a broken zip .

I don't wear my riding boots for yard work, but I was riding 4 - 6 horses a day when I had them, so I guess you could say they were getting heavy use.

On the other hand I have yet to find a more comfortable pair of johdpur boots, so I do tend to buy the cheapest pair if I need short boots. I do prefere long boots to ride in.

Agree with Charliemouse, I've had 2 pairs, and within 9 months they are dying, cracked and with holes in.

Haven't found anything as comfortable to replace them though. I'm hoping the Pony Euros in France will have good shopping!

Absolutely yes. Had mine for years, lace up's and they are the only boots that I can lace up tight enough to keep my 3 x smashed ankle comfortable when I am on my feet all day.

I bought a zip pair which are comfy and fine for yard work but not enough support for a whole day at a big show where there is miles to walk.

I would say yes. Mine probably lasted me the longest of all the ones ive bought. I wore mine everyday, all day for about a year and by the end my little toe used to have its own little hole in the side but they were still so comfy. Bought some Toggi ones and the beginning of the year and didnt like them at all!!
Boots never used to last long with me though as I used to muck out about 14 boxes a day with them on as it would waste so much time for me to keep changing boots. Pee kills your boots so quickly!!

Totally! I have a pair of their short boots with laces and chaps in chocolate. They are about four years old now and still going strong.

A clean and bit of polish now and again keeps them coming up new and they are still comfy although the 'spring' in the sole is less springy now but to be expected with the amount of wear. Nothing a pair of fresh insoles wouldn't sort.

I keep looking at the long boots....

Grasmeres on ebay new at £150:eek: only in brown.

Bargain!

Nothing to do with me, this is just a heads up.

my H20 Bromonts are fab!! but unfortunately my Windermere's are a disappointment :( :( they have cracked badly and are no longer waterproof, after 3 months!! also a friend has the Windermere's and she bought them the same time as me and she has had the same problem as me with hers :(

I have some heritage III zips which I use for everyday riding and they are sooooo comfy!

I got them on October 2010 and they hardly look any Different and i wear them to the yard and Ride in all the time in all weathers !

I own two pairs of terrains, bought about four years ago now, one for horsey things and the other I take on holiday when we go walking, I have a trapped nerve on the sole of my left foot and these are the only boots which support it properly. Would have no hesitation in buying another pair, but these show no signs of wearing out and one pair is worn nearly every day of the year.

Yes, Ariats are without doubt worth every penny. I have various pairs of their boots and shoes, the footbeds are so comfortable, they make such a difference, I can even run in them!

I love my ariats - I have found they have lasted well.

If you are going to any big shows this summer keep an eye out, they are often on special offer.
