I thought Ollie’s round was a lot less brutal than usual. He isn’t my favourite person but credit where it’s due… I do think the flag will stick. It’s a closer call than Ros.

Harry also given a flag but looked well in to me.

I agree with Oli that the flag situation is unsatisfactory. Still think Ros was robbed in Paris. It’s too subjective/vague.

Afaik there’s been grumblings about changing the rules the last few years but nothing actually happened. I guess they’re just being pickier instead.

The instructions for flags now are much more 'if in doubt, award it and then the ground jury will review' p, which some fence judges take to mean just give the penalty if they have the flag down. But Huntsman's isn’t an easy fence to judge as 3 possible points to have a flag and you can’t be on a good line to see them all, so probably right in this context

Horse's shoulders have to be inside the flag. I think their cameras might be better now and stewards aren't cowering when challenged.
