Badminton 2025

Lordships Graffalo - we're definitely witnessing one of the best event horses of all time here.

And Colorado Blue's round was brilliant - absolutely chasing that title and glad to see them get on the podium.

That’s the feeling I get. Also, when I think back to the horses of my childhood that I watched and would dream of. It makes me smile to think of the young kids today having Walter as their ‘famous horse’.

Absolutely fabulous. That was like a masterclass watching Ros and Walter go round that course. Well deserved and congratulations to both of them.

I remember reading an article about 30 years ago where one of the younger male riders of the time ( can’t remember who, so maybe didn’t become a household name) stated that something along the lines of ‘these big horses always go better for us men, that’s why we dominate’.

Ros certainly disproves that train of thought!

Maybe I’m getting softer as I get older, but to see somebody win where the picture all week has been one of harmony, making it look easy (though we all know it’s not!!) not having to over ride or look like they’re chasing their horse. Just a team working together so beautifully and not appearing against each other. They won because they did it together, not a horse being ‘ridden for the win’ in any sort of chasing or aggressive way

Don’t know if I’m explaining myself well here!

Couldnt agree more, and beautifully put.
