She’s saying that she knows people she has on user ignore have commented as that button appears
Not that she has pressed it

BB might have them on UI but if they don't know that then why wouldn't they comment on a post? I'm assuming BB hasn't told the people they are on UI so there's nothing to 'get a hint'.

I've only ever used UI to genuinely stop seeing comments from a past user - not to post a reaction when they have respond to a post I've started or have commented on, as it seemed to defeat the point to me otherwise?

It's beneficial if you are seeking head space. In reality it's hard to leave behind unpleasant comments and not read them, sometimes ignorance is not always bliss sadly.

The latest clip from the Warwickshire is much worse than the first one.

‘Fred’ is no horseman. I too believe that it would have got worse if the other rider hadn’t shouted a warning to him.

FWIW Channel 4 News ran an item last night on the very dubious link between Warwickshire Hunt/Warwickshire Police/Warwickshire PCC.

There is no requirement whether absolute or implied for people who are on a poster’s UI list not to comment on a thread of someone who has them on UI.

How does it work if someone quotes an ignored user comment? Does the quote box say ‘ignored content’?

Curious as I’ve never used it.
I presume that I am on BB’s UI list but I was able to quote her post about throwing scalding hot sugary water over neighbourhood cats.

I used to have BB on UI because I found her posts tedious, and still do, but then I decided it was best to find out just what she was up to.

I can answer this, as I inadvertently put someone on UI over the weekend, Was reading a thread, and kept seeing posts saying " you are ignoring this poster" or something like that.

I think the Police and Warwickshire hunt situation is going to blow up very soon. I mean how can you have a member of the countryside alliance heading the inquiry!

Same here, had always assumed I was but had no trouble quoting and her reference to old riders and those without horses being cruel and wicked unloving owners probably refers to me and despite supposedly having me on UI she would be aware that I am no longer a horse owner due to Dolly being PTS just a short while ago and I make no secret that I am ancient. I largely manage to avoid her posts and threads since discovering who she really is, if someone loudly and clearly tells me who they are I will never ask twice. But the very dramatic 'Barbaric' header worked as it was probably designed to do...got her a lot of attention even from nasty old forumites like me! ☺️

I struggle to see what point having half the forum on user ignore is? Just ignore posts and threads from the half of the forum she dislikes and disapproves of. Simple really. 🤷‍♀️

Don't think it's the same person. Different hat, different boots and more timber.
This video makes me feel sick and sad in equal measure that another human being can be so vile towards another, and the language is dreadful ( and I work in construction).

It also makes me sick watching that poor, poor fox running for its life. I wonder if the fox got away. I recognise one of the riders, if I'm not mistaken. Knew they rode for the Warwickshire Hunt.

I must admit, I only watched to compare if it was the same person. I didn't watch it all or with sound on. I wouldn't want to see the fox running, it breaks my heart.

I have someone on ignore (what does the U in UI mean?), mainly to block out the moving pictures on her posts, but I discovered the other day that although I cannot read what she's written, the pictures still hop across the page. Agghh!

UI is not some awful tool that posters can put on to avoid seeing content and that should be avoided at all costs. It's there to prevent you having to deal with people constantly antagonise you, or from seeing content from people you might not want to see because its upsetting for whatever reason. We have all seen posts where the OP is jumped on, it's happened to me and when I see it happening to someone else my pulse races, my legs shake and I feel physically sick, it's like being bullied all over again for me - I was dreadfully bullied from age 5 - 14 at school both physically and emotionally.

So UI is for your own protection, it allows you headspace. It's tempting when being jumped on to keep reading what people are saying about you, for some reason it's like an itch you have to scratch. For me I feel dreadful that some people might believe what is written about me, I really care deeply what people think about me.

Please understand some people are more vulnerable than others, not everyone has the tools available or the coping mechanisms to deal with what they might deem as unfair or constant criticism especially when some members get jumped on (and on and on and on) more easily than others simply for the entertainment of certain individuals.

If you have never had to use UI then you are fortunate. But for those of us that have, it just allows us to take a breath, and step back for a while because sometimes we are feeling quite desperate by it all and it's very hard to walk away from and extremely overwhelming.
