BM..why did you not just compose a questionnaire ? That way you could have collected facts and not just opinions. It's a far better method to get an overall and accurate picture of what is happening in the barefoot or shod camps rather than making comments designed to get a reaction from people.
You have made some comments which seem to indicate that might not be entirely unbiased. That is not in itself a problem. You are allowed to have opinions

A starting point for any analysis is that you outline your hypothesis. Your's might be, for instance, that you believe that barefoot horses suffer more hoof complaints than shod horses. You then design a questionnaire which should be clear and concise. Once you get your data you then analsye the resulting responses. Then you can say whether you have proved your original hypothesis or not.
A survey on the other hand does not need to start with a hypothesis but is designed to collect data on whatever your selected field of study is and of course you can draw conclusions from this type of data too.
If you are studying then keep an open mind. That way you will learn a lot more in life. And remember there are lies, damn lies and statistics
