Mine see the EDT every year. Never use the vet as they are far to quick to sedate everything and get the power tools out. My EDT is a horseman in the true sense of the word, he is quiet and confident and the horses seem to like him. It's like anything there's good and bad in every trade.
My 4 year old is so comfortable and soft in his mouth, having been seen to before backing, my EDT also found a problem that the vet missed! I asked the vets to look at a swelling on his cheekbone, they said it was nothing, just a bump, I wasn't convinced and got the dentist to take a look and lo and behold we found an abcess on one of his upper molars, called the vet back who gave antibiotics and avoided possibly expensive surgery.
