well said littleflea! i think that there is a really horrible element to this forum at times- tantamount to bullying in some replies that certain posters get to their posts (*disclaimer*- not aimed at everyone in NL!
)
I can on the one hand understand why people get frustrated when they take the time to reply with advice and then it seems that the person hasn't taken this advice on board. HOWEVER...this doesn't excuse some of the downright nasty comments that people make at times- and especially to teenagers. i think some of the adults on here should perhaps take a more mature approach to things.
its rare that i will post pics of my riding on here. bascially its because i know that my position is awful. yes i would love some advice and help but i really don't want to be ripped to shreds and be told that i'm ruining my horse by someone hiding behind the safety of their keyboards. there are some very popular forum members who post pics of them/their horses and to be quite honest i think "that looks bloody awful" but i just keep my opinion to myself. these popular members get lots of messages of support and oohs and aahs of 'looks great'- then a less popular member posts a pic or a video and gets ripped to shreds....
its the horsey world all over- full of 'experts' who love ripping others to pieces. if such posters annoy you so much then put them on UI!
rant over...FWIW there are also some really lovely/ helpful people on HHO which makes it all worth while
