Blue & White, Black & Blue, Red & a Bit of Green: Shelford Pony Squishing Report

Ralph rocks - such a cool little dude. (Tanya's is rather scrummy as well isn't it?! I've had my eye on that one at the last couple of events too :p)

As for the rest, we've said it all. I think with all the positive vibes you've got from everyone on here, plus all of your other friends, between us all we'll have it's nasty little ass kicked in no time at all

He is very cool. And I'll look forward to some en masse ass-kicking of the other thing.;)

hey hows that for a brilliant present before your sadly enforced time off?! Sounds like a fantastic day, however, he has set himself a rather high bar now as you know he can do it so hes going to have to do it EVERY time out!

So sorry to hear your bad news, it really is an absolute bugger. my mum found out a couple weeks back and has just had her surgery two days ago, still feels like we have an awful long way to go but hopefully weve sorted the bloody thing out, im sure your going to go on a mighty big rollercoaster of emotions but everyone we have met o far with my mums treatment have been brilliant, so positive and very practical, plus we know your not soft, you'll sort it! hugs xx

Well done another rosette - I am horribly jealous now and will have to resort to gymkhana (do they still have the monte carlo:o) and clear round!:D

So sorry about your cancer, really positive thoughts about not vomiting, beating it in record time and coming out the other side strong.:)

The monte carlo? Were they very posh gymkhanas you used to go to?;)

Even the thought of vomiting makes me feel queasy.:p

Yay for the ickle B&W one :D He's such a dude!

And as for the other thing - kick it and kick it hard. Best of british with the ol' treatment et al. Oh and to offset the nausea, polos and ginernuts really help to settle the stomach (tried and tested in relation to meds over here ;) )

:D for the dude!

Thanks for the advice re the other thing: will set Ma Baydale on a mission to make The Best Gingernuts.:)

Anyone that can receive that kind of news on a Tuesday and deliver a performance like that on the Thursday is some kind of superhuman in my mind. Talk about galvanised! You keep going like this Mrs and the big C will crawl back under whatever stone it crept out from! And we'll drink to that at Burghley :D

Ralph was just what the doctor ordered.:D

Love the B &W pony, what a dude and what a result.

As for the other, keep smiling like you are in that lovely photo, hold your head high and kick it into touch ASAP, and get Ma Baydale baking gingernuts for the icky days! hopefully they will be few and far between:)

I thought the photo would be a nice aide memoire for when things weren't quite so smiley, but maybe I'll breeze through it....(says she, hopefully;))

That can't be the same pony that Monty and I spent several hours giving a lead to back and forwards and back and forwards over the baby ditches at Grange-de-Lings surely?

A-mazing! :). Now could you send some wimming vibes to us for Sunday please as there is £150 prize for winning our section!!!

Anyway am busy writing you a long FB message ('oh joy' I hear you shout!) but as always, you know where I am, both physically and electronically so make use of me! Keep on keepin' on..... ;)

That's the one, but that was ages ago and he's had bucketfuls of bootcamp since then!

I'd love to share my wimming vibes but they weren't actually mine, they were Claire's - she's the one that's been cleaning up locally.:)

So sorry to hear your bad news, it really is an absolute bugger. my mum found out a couple weeks back and has just had her surgery two days ago, still feels like we have an awful long way to go but hopefully weve sorted the bloody thing out, im sure your going to go on a mighty big rollercoaster of emotions but everyone we have met o far with my mums treatment have been brilliant, so positive and very practical, plus we know your not soft, you'll sort it! hugs xx

Please send your mother my best wishes, she seemed like a very grounded optimistic person and I'm sure all that helps somehow.

Sheeesh Baydale - that's quite a rollercoaster of a report

What a fabby performance from the B&W one (well due given his Mum squishing capers, the monkey!). He really pulled it out of the bag, with a bit of help from Kermit :D

As for the other thing - it picked the wrong pony-squisher to mess with  . Sending you massive "anti-vomit, C beating, get-better-super-fast* vibes. You don't strike me as the type of person to let this stand a chance :). Plus the combined might of HHO is right behind you - a force to be reckoned with :p.

Go Kick ass.....ponies and otherwise ;)

Yeah, sorry if it shocked you. Better out than in, I always think. ;)

Oh georgiegirl, I'm so sorry to hear that.:( I'm sure she has my confidence in the medical teams as they've been amazing, so positive and thoughtful. I'll keep my fingers crossed that your mum copes well with the rest of the journey.

It was a great present, but I'm not understanding the "enforced time off" part.;) *Baydale wanders off, fingers in her ears, muttering "la la la la I can't hear you*:D

yay for the win what a super duper lil ponio. :D

but :( for the bad news. I'm sure though being the tough green kermit you are that you will fight it off, but lots of healing vibes heading your way :)

The win was the best bit of my week, admittedly. I have a feeling that tough green kermit may have days of feeling like this:

:);)

Very very huge well done for your win, aren't little ponies just the best for making you smile :)!

As for the rest, lots of vibes and best wishes heading your way!

Well done for the win! Blue & White pony looks very smart. The photo is lovely. I always enjoy reading your reports.

Lots of <<vibes>> on the way for the next few months. I hope you manage to stay positive & don't feel too sick.

Congratulations on the win :)

Very sad to read your other news, here's to a short clean fight. Chemo affects everyone differently - someone I work with is having it atm, he feels well enough to come into work while he is actually receiving his dose! He hasn't lost any hair - but he did lose some weight.

Wowee - very happy for you and B&W pony's entourage, excellent result. The cancer news is pants (and then some) but Rosie can vouch for the super-effectiveness of HHO vibes and the ether will be buzzing with them during your treatment :)
eta: Not sure you can ride at PNRF as you've completed at too high a level in the past 5 years :( Frodo's rider has same problem (not that he's qualified anyway)

Fantastic report, such good fun to read! Well done on the win!!! You look quite nice on him in that photo, I wouldn't have thought there was any pony squishing going on at all!

Best, best wishes and loads of vibes for a super quick recovery.

I remember reading a series of columns years ago written by Ruth Picardie when she was suffering from terminal cancer. They were very gritty, very astute and very, very funny. Her main bone of contention was that she was on a huge dose of steroids and ended up getting fat - she was gutted as she was 'looking forward' to finally having an opportunity to be stick thin and felt she had been robbed of this! I don't recount it very well, but it had me in stitches.

Well done on your pony squishing! The smile says it all.

Very sorry to hear about your other news, here's to a quick remission and easy recovery

Well done at Shelford, thats a fantastic achievement for his first BE, I'd think the judge had added it up wrong if I ended up with a dressage score like that!

Hope everything goes smoothly with your treatment, my Mum's just coming out of treatment for it and it really hasn't been half as bad as we might have imagined. She's kept working and doing all her normal things all the way through the treatment.

That's a great result for Ralph :) So sorry to hear your other news though :(
As other's have said, with the combination of your strength of character and modern medicine you'll have it kicked into touch in no time. I'd like to think Jup will go a bit easier on you in the coming months, but perhaps I shouldn't hold my breath? ;) xx

Thanks Befney, I'm glad you enjoy them and hopefully I'll be able to keep 'em comin'.:D

Gee, I bet this is JUST what BD wants to hear right now! ;)
