Blue & White, Black & Blue, Red & a Bit of Green: Shelford Pony Squishing Report

I don't know anything about PNRFs as I was greedily planning Novice runs for him for next season.:D

But of course! Anyway, I think (with permission) you can swap riders so his owner could do the PNRF and Badminton Grassroots and you could do the Novice Champs at Gatcombe ;) Good plan or what :D

"wine (or probably champers) will be forthcoming once I scrub and get some girly clothes on.....ah, long lunches, just the ticket. "

Wine and long lunches aplenty here in Thistle land. Not to mention some fabulous (if somewhat troublesome) horses to admire.

The blue and white pony horse is really lovely. Congratulations on your win! :)

Sorry to hear about your health news. Sending lots of positive and healing vibes your way.

A lovely pony, not looking too squished at all! So sorry to hear your health news, as someone else said you seem like a strong and positive person and, as you say, it's your project for the next few months. A red wine on its way (it's good for you!!).

Brilliant write up - felt like we were there with you. Massive congratulations to you and the B&W Thug (but must say - he looks quite a cool dude in his photo! )

Really hope things get sorted soon with your illness/treatment - I know someone who has had the same and she's back out eventing now after a short "enforced" break. Only problen she has is that she's pretty miffed at having to start wearing hairnets again!

I love your reports so much as they are always full of fun and this was an especially good one :D until the end :( Really hoping that you have as smooth a passage during this difficult time as possible and that HHO support is some help and you are back to full strength as soon as you can. :)

As you're the Font of All Knowledge, Rosiefan,:p what if he gets a point or two? I have a feeling he wouldn't be able to PNRF then? We'll worry about it next year when Claire and I are both mended.:)

Thanks redmerl, the wins don't happen very often so need celebrating:), and the other is just going to be a pain in the butt for a while.:(

Think he's allowed 5 but it's bloomin' complicated. Could you win more than 5 points at one Nov comp? Dunno why I'm so interested really as it's completely academic in R and Frodo's case lol

Thank you, I think it would take more than me to squish such a huge character, both mentally and physically.;) It's a bit early for red wine even for me!) but I'll enjoy it later thanks.

Aw, thank you, Tannis, he is very cool indeed.

I'm hoping my enforced break will be once I've finished eventing mid-October, meantime if I feel a bit average I'll just have to do what I can....maybe I'll give Jupiter a miss on those days.

Great report, well done on the placing! Lovely photo too you both looked like you had so much fun :D

I am sorry to hear about your unfortunate news :( But you sound like you have a great support network around you so all the best with it xx

That's very kind of you to say, Hornby.:) I'm hoping that the fun won't stop, it may just happen less frequently for a wee while. I'm feeling the HHO lurve already...;)

Huge well done for the B&W pony squishing, he's great.

You have an amazing attitude, and I'm sure it is only a minor bump in the road to Baydale World Domination :D

wow clever pone you might have to keep pony squishing if you get results like that :p

sorry to hear about the health news
But on the positive you can drink more Red wine without getting funny looks ;) sadly you'll have to stop in a few weeks once your better (although i don't want to be the one removing the wine bottle from the eventer thats like taking away a steak from a lion!!! )

Oh I did have fun, Jenbleep, but if you'd seen my face as I was about to go cross country you wouldn't have thought so....I'm not sure I'm any good under pressure.:o

The rest is a bit rubbish but just think of what I'll save on haircuts.;)

The problem is when you've had a result like that there's only one way to go from there.;)

Is red wine a proven element in the anti-cancer diet then? I've not got as far as looking up what I should and shouldn't eat, been far too busy finding crazy wigs that I might like.:D

the last article i read said that but it changes so often im sure you could adapt it to your tipple of choice ;)

hope your not going wig shopping with ChloeGH she'd be telling to to get XC colour co-ordintated!

My Mums friend recently had the all clear. She named her wig Monique & "she" lived on a stack of loo rolls!

Pimms must be healthy, if only because you put that much fruit in it.;)

 at the thought of Chloe saying "oh yes, that really suits you" as I try on a Kermit green wig!
