Yes, poor old boy. He deserves a retirement and stability not a low rent auction house.
I've just seen the pony is safe

Rescued by Equine Market Watch. A very genuine excellent charity run by very caring people. Well worth supporting.
I avoided it, I found the Brecon live auction quite upsetting, all the foals from one bloke, all the youngsters.Gone down the rabbit hole of that
Llanybydder auction now. So many little colts.
Ugh this mare is being sold on again! What a shame for her https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1CVkNBTeX9/?mibextid=wwXIfrI know I’m in love with this mare https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19ckNwbZxH/?mibextid=wwXIfr

I bet they are asking a fortune for her too!
Over 360 last month! Will go up I imagine with winter comingThat's a big sale, if they get through near 300 in day wow ..

So who are we all buying?![]()

The problem is , it is easier to sell a brood mare in foal than empty. The buyer will be able to sell the foal for the same, or maybe even for a higher value than they paid for the mare.It saddens me how many in-foal mares are entered for this weekend, particularly those that are in-foal with a foal at foot. Surely the first thing to do when facing a challenging winter is to stop breeding rather than ending up in a situation where stock needs to be sold at its most vulnerable![]()
A dealer from Scotland, he usually buys a lorry load of ponies every month. What is Dunbar?
Did anyone see the mare in poor condition with a 4 month foal at foot being auctioned individually? Thankfully they were bought by the same person, but they shouldn't have been allowed to go through in the first place.
@Miss_Millie, was that at Worcester on Saturday? Absolutely shameful that they were allowed to be entered as separate lots and the condition of the mareI'm so glad they went to the same home and will be cared for.
Just found the follow up for this mare and foal on tik tok. All looks good on the real I've just seen.Yes that's the one, it should have never been allowed to happen imo.
Did a dodgy dealer buy them then? There is a post now on Facebook ‘dodgy dealers’ page about this mare and foal from the person that bought them. Hopefully they get the attention they deserve![]()
She has operated under several different names so it's difficult when searching for her on dodgy dealer fb pages to get the full story unless you remember her history. She used to do business with some of the very worst characters in the industry and was very vocal in her praise and support of these other businesses. Eventually, she was also screwed over by one of the characters she had been giving glowing references for and appeared shocked at the lack of sympathy she got from his other victims.Did a dodgy dealer buy them then?
