But there is a 13yo Suffolk mare.
Last year she was with her breeder, she had just had her third foal, a colt. Before that she was broken to ride and drive.
Somehow she has ended up at the auction
I suspect she won't pass a vetting so they have sent her to the auction but why wouldn't you just contact the Suffolk Horse Society and they'd put you in touch with people...no idea why her breeder hasn't offered her a home.

Wish I hadn’t looked at the catalogue. I’m not too far from the riding school that’s closing near Lampeter and like the sound of lots 126 & 128. Half tempted to contact them direct before the sale to see what they are like and what sort of price they are wanting.

Do it, the Suffolk was sold privately before going to auction, I reckon they'd be thrilled to have private sales rather than put the horses through an auction. I may be over cynical but not every "stone quiet, used to be in a riding school" horse has been anywhere near one.
