Brandy used to obsessively lick her foreleg when her elbows were bad so that is maybe a possibility. I know you intend to get him x rayed anyway.
He’s very focused on his paw, where a hole had appeared, not where he’d been licking. If that dog is in pain (he’s a big wuss), then the literal bouncing round the garden before he was restrained is a bit surprising. The paw is so padded he’s feeling nothing. Back to the vet for a wound check tomorrow. They have benebones (sp?) and trachea to keep them occupied and had bits of steak for a snack.
How is he doing? I hoping he is settling.
The Mitch is just transferred to wherever we are so isn’t missing anything. He doesn’t think there’s anything wrong so we’re having to be very strict. He’s not happy about being behind the playpen my OH bought or in one of the crates but needs must. We’ve already said they’ll be staying on the lead when we go back to Herefordshire in August!

It's good that Goose is not in pain. Has the vet been able to give you any idea why he has been licking his paw for months?
