Busy cobs are the best cobs!

Had an absolutely fab visit from HHOer Mongose11 who is a fully trained supercob groom, rider and general admirer of super cobs.

Before I collected her from the airport I took Peaches SJ. Daisy didn't get to go due to (still) having no saddle. Prior to going SJ I led P out on a hack with D. She definitely going to be an eventer if we are talking stamina because she came out the trailer as fresh as a well daisy (but not THE Daisy obviously). Stormed round with two double clears and won the 60 and the 70.

Extra bonus was two Easter eggs as prizes :D

On Monday we went hacking in the morning:

And in the afternoon, XC schooling (wah!). Daisy didn't get to go so M11 took some fab pics for us.

Not entirely sure where her hind legs are but she wasn't touching that log for anything.

Tuesday was a sheep day with a lunge for D and day off for P.

Wednesday was SJ:

Great lesson on Peaches who was much straighter and bendier in all the right places and generally very clever.

And on to today:

I got permission to ride Daisy in the BB pad. Unfortunately her second and my third dressage test ever and first time there was a killer table involved. Between that and me doing an extra 20m circle because I literally couldn't remember moments after doing it if I had done it so did it again :o I kind of stuffed it up but lovely comments and she was referred to as "lovely horse" which she was particularly pleased about as Peaches who is a hand BIGGER was called a lovely little pony :D proving its not your height but what you do with it that counts.

Peaches was petrified of the table especially as it moved and a big flappy white bit of paper nearly killed us from half way up the arena. However she got over that and went very well for her too.

More schooling and dressaging needed!

Oh and a new thingy

Its obviously been the weekend for super cobs! Not anywhere near your league but mine did 10k of proper marching hacking on Saturday and then today, for the first time ever, I took him out, all on my own and we went cantering. Its only been about 8 weeks, so give me a year or so and we might work up to where you and JFTD are exciting exploit wise

Hurrah for Super Cobs!

Keeping the world, well, super!

Sounds like a brilliantly fun week!

Yes. Hard work but I think got me over a lot of my silly confidence things with P. Will see. She's had a day off today but will be hacking tomorrow and another SJ lesson on Wed.

I'm really glad you are enjoying him and the fact he makes you so happy is proof indeed of his supercob status!

Seriously busy week! Looks like you have been having fun. Peaches looks very scopy
Thanks. Yes it's been good and she is way more scopy I than I will ever want or need ha ha!

great pics & great results :D

Thanks. :D

Well done on the dressage scores!

Great pictures, I <3 Peaches :).

Thank you. Lots to work on (started today much to Daisy's disgust we were at the same venue and there were STILL no jumps and only boring flat work most of the time!).

She's yours. I'll swap you for any decent jump saddle that fits D lol

Oh I recognise the sj and xc venues, you must be near to me!

Ha ha we get about a bit!!

Lovely pics and sounds like a really fun few days, bet Daisy is as impatient as you are to get her saddle sorted!

Hoping there is light at the end of that tunnel now.

Thanks! She's very keen, she's really fit and ready to go HT so to see me continually loading her arch enemy (Peaches) into HER trailer and leaving her behind is really making her mad!

hahaha! I recognise that reaction :D Drove Millie wild when she was still on sick leave and Kira was going out in the magic box. Keeping fingers crossed for you over the saddle and looking forward to more D reports!
