Busy cobs are the best cobs!
Had an absolutely fab visit from HHOer Mongose11 who is a fully trained supercob groom, rider and general admirer of super cobs.
Before I collected her from the airport I took Peaches SJ. Daisy didn't get to go due to (still) having no saddle. Prior to going SJ I led P out on a hack with D. She definitely going to be an eventer if we are talking stamina because she came out the trailer as fresh as a well daisy (but not THE Daisy obviously). Stormed round with two double clears and won the 60 and the 70.
Extra bonus was two Easter eggs as prizes
On Monday we went hacking in the morning:
And in the afternoon, XC schooling (wah!). Daisy didn't get to go so M11 took some fab pics for us.
Not entirely sure where her hind legs are but she wasn't touching that log for anything.
Tuesday was a sheep day with a lunge for D and day off for P.
Wednesday was SJ:
Great lesson on Peaches who was much straighter and bendier in all the right places and generally very clever.
And on to today:
I got permission to ride Daisy in the BB pad. Unfortunately her second and my third dressage test ever and first time there was a killer table involved. Between that and me doing an extra 20m circle because I literally couldn't remember moments after doing it if I had done it so did it again
I kind of stuffed it up but lovely comments and she was referred to as "lovely horse" which she was particularly pleased about as Peaches who is a hand BIGGER was called a lovely little pony
proving its not your height but what you do with it that counts.
Peaches was petrified of the table especially as it moved and a big flappy white bit of paper nearly killed us from half way up the arena. However she got over that and went very well for her too.
More schooling and dressaging needed!
Oh and a new thingy
