im not 100% i agree with pros giving horses the best start...certainly quite a lot of showjumpers ignore the flatwork ...but they do get the horses out and jumping..if you not a professional and not great at seeing a stride (
) then i think you need the flat work more than ever....if you have a good canter it makes life sooo much easier
plus some horses get 'spoilt' in terms of always being in exactly the right place to take off....if you are a really good amateur its not a problem of course
