My dad has said i am not aloud to have a horse! How unfair 'life sucks'! Well anyways, the field in which our familys 2 room hut is in has some nice cows and a very friendly bull, it loves to play chase when my brother walks past him, he he once even tried to play tick, he got my brother down on the ground and proceeded in trying to stand on his head!

Do you think the farmer will let me ride this bull in exchange of doing some chours?? I dont mind poopscooping up the field! He doesnt having to worry about any tack, as the bull has some big horns that i can just hold on to!

I dont see a problem in this one bit, but wanted to ask some advice first before i approach him??

Keep away from bulls they are potentially dangerous, never ever play with them, I think the farmer should not allow you anywhere near his large animals. Try the local riding school for lessons and they might let you groom and muck out on a Saturday morning.

Im with the others, do it! It'll be a great experience, and when you can get your own pony, if your still alive, you will have a bum made of glue! ;)

bexcy-bee x

;) i think after a couple of hours riding, i think we will be able to compete, im thinking he will excell in dressage, hes really well put together.

Im going to have to get a whip!! So i can just smack smack smack and bomb it round the arena! Im sure i could snap a sturdy enough branch of a tree!

i bet hes got a foot in each corner and really good confirmation. is he a piebald and whats his weight limit, id think it must be less then 12 stone

if you crack the bull riding u could enter the pro bull riding tournaments, youll have the money for a horse in no time! x

Hes not a coloured no? But i could always get a home dye kit and make him coloured! Do you think this would help my career that im going to achieve with him?

Im also going to have to put him in a starvation paddock, hes got a look about him that tells me one of his ansestors must have a been a sec A, and i dont want him having laminitis when ive got all these big plans for him!

I am both shocked and horrified by the irresponsible advice being given to a minor:eek:
OP don't even think about getting on your bull until you have done some free-schooling with him. You'll need something large and red, like a cape, just to keep him interested. The only downside to this is that he'll probably end up jumping the fence and going back to the barn (like they all do;)) All good bull schoolers speak Spanish so learn a few phrases. That's all.

i was just wondering but not you can achieve anything you want anyway. to be honest he might do better if he looks more like a bay because clearly they do better in dressage and noone seems to have anything else. it may be good that hes in show condition, you can then do you competeing and showing. i cant wait to see your matchy matchys

Brilliant. I love a youngster with the ability to make do with what you have. The bull will love spending the summer with you. I really think you should do some parelli with him. He'll be so responsive to having a lead rope clasp flicked in his face. Are you going to keep him barefoot ?

Im going to go for dark green for our matchy matchys because quiet often he has pats, and to save bathing him if i matched his runny bum we wouldnt get marked down, which also means i can have lie in in the mornings. win win

Im going to leave him bare footed, except one front hoof and one back, so then if he gets a litte footsore he can just balance on them two for a little while! But im going to get my dad to but them on, i often see loose metal around which im going to get my dad to nail on

Join up with cows involves waving a red table cloth in said cows face- try it- but please do video all your efforts.

I think toilet roll with some duck tape would be a cheaper option!

Im so excited to embark on my journey with him! I just know he will behave! We have a unbreakable bond!! If he doesn. ill just stick a dutch gag on him and tie him down with side reins and get my brother to chase us with a schooling whip!

i'd advise a stud guard for when you're showjumping to protect his ermmm stud tackle;) you wouldn't want to lose points because his balls have knocked the pole off:eek:

Again .. Duck tape - ill just strap them to his stomach!! Or better off i might get him castrated - he might be 19 but i think he will be okay.

Personally, no. I dont think riding or attempting to ride a bull, however friendly is a good idea, I think it might be a better idea for you to go to your local riding school, help out during the day for a free ride maybe (you'll also learn a lot about horse care in the process, always good for the day you are lucky enough to get a pony :) ), as you said in the first part of your post you were more interested in horses. The bull just seems like your going for anything else you can as an alternative for a pony, a dangerous one at that! :)
