Cheeky/ridiculous posts you see on Facebook.

This made me laugh. Perfect send up.

"14.2h Celt is looking for a home as a companion/pet.
He's up to v light work and when I say v light I mean a 10 min walk around a school once a week, not
'Will he do for a few hacks a week and the odd fun ride!!!'
He doesn't stand up to sustained work, requires no medication, no special shoring etc in fact is v easy maintenance, beautiful manners, lovely nature.
Shows in hand foot perfect, stands like a lamb on box etc.
Quite the rosette machine In Hand.
Registered Welsh Part Bred.
7yr old gelding."

Respectfully, wtf is wrong with some people.

I find this phrase deeply irritating

"Hassle free sale wanted because this is hard enough as it is"

Now occasionally the backstory is genuinely tragic (selling my deceased mother's beloved cob...) and yes you want people to be a bit mindful of the context in those situations.

But normally it's just 'horse I adore BUT.... doesn't do the job I want him for well enough/ too big/ too small/ daughter lost interest/ overhorsed/ high maintenance... etc. Ie exactly the kind of horse you want more info on. And what does 'hassle' even mean. Asking questions? Wanting video? God forbid wanting to view!! Why do people feel they are owed a hassle-free solution to moving on a horse that no longer suits them?

This is particularly irritating as there are hassle free solutions- i.e. sales livery or selling to a dealer. To me it reads as 'I want the maximum profit, without doing any work for the sale' (or, less charitably, 'I know there's something wrong with the horse, but I want him gone before that becomes apparent')

Looks like quite advanced DSLD which is a painful condition and would be made so much worse carrying the weight of a foal :( .
This. I had mine euthanised way before he got to this stage as it's degenerative and untreatable. Also believed to have a genetic component so absolutely dreadful to be breeding from this poor soul 😢 .

So the parents are full brother and sister, the horse has a serious, probably inherited condition which can affect other soft tissues including the heart, the hind suspensory's are already very badly affected and somebody thinks breeding this forward would be a good idea as long as they can make a few bucks 😭 .
