Just simply loving life with Orbi 🥰
I work near the grants factory! You can smell the whiskey ??Where I lived as a child you could smell the chocolate from Bourneville, depending on which way the wind was blowing.

There was always a vending machine on the railway station that sold Five Boys. My OH doesn't remember them, therefore I am nuts!Never had any of them. Only Frys Five Boys Chocolate Bars.
Shrimps, flying saucers, chelsea whoppers, jelly rings, the wee bit of chocolate in a foil that u peel back and ate ?
And the wee mushrooms ?I loved shrimps but I'd completely forgotten about them.
That other thread made me think of all the yummy stuff we used to have a kids.
My faves were….
pacers
Cabana
Chelsea whoppers
Frying pans
And a lucky bag ?

You can get dib dab ice lollies now, i got a pack and there is wee separate sachets of sherbet ?
I used to work for a company who used to supply hand towel rags to them.Where I lived as a child you could smell the chocolate from Bourneville, depending on which way the wind was blowing.
Hahahha i didnt feel any effects at all so im pretty sure its sherbet! However my 18 yr old son was quite shocked when a wee packet of white powder fell out the freezer at him ???Ah but are you sure it's sherbert and not a sneaky new way of trafficking drugs about ??

Ew no! Rainbow Drops are the blandest, most boring, stale tasting things on the planet!
The chocolate ones, or the puffed rice ones? I think they're both called rainbow drops or something similar.
The multicoloured rice ones ?
Yes cheap chocolate that left a greasy film on the roof of your mouth but they were strangely addictive. The white chocolate ones are nice too.The rice ones are a bit odd, I agree.
I meant the chocolate buttons covered in hundreds and thousands on the top. It was a bit like cooking chocolate but I loved them.
Is sweet tobacco the same as candy cigarettes? I must have had a strange but strict upbringing as I was a bit rebellious, not only did I think I was cool amongst the younger kids in our group by sucking on cider and brandy ice lollies, I also used to think I was cool with a candy cigarette between my fingers.Blackjacks, milk bottles, foam bananas, sweet tobacco.
Can still get them all tho ???
Hehe me too! Oh the memories… i dont think you can every get penny sweets anymore!I love this thread Barton Bounty. Some of these sweets that have been mentioned, I'd forgotten about.
Or dime as they should be calledButtersnap bar, I really miss those but Daim are nearly as good, only a lot smaller!

The sweet tobacco was shredded coconut covered in something brown. No idea what the brown stuff was.
It's amazing to think that tobacco and cigarettes were ever available as sweets.
I know. But its the same with toy swords and guns. Caps that were bright red and you stuck in your 'gun' to make a noise or struck with a stone. Wouldn't be allowed any of that now.
