Passport name was gatelyn but his freezemark..poor lad, was gay1....cannot think what the owners were thinking when they had that done!
Recently bought a horse whose green book name is Hi Man. Fortunately, the BS let me register him under a different name taken from his dam and sire after I pointed out that anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of human anatomy might find his name ‘amusing’ when announced by a commentator.
BS wouldn’t let me have my preferred name though, ‘Norfolk In Chance’.
My gelding is on a green Irish passport and his name is Cumber Dawn ....... I'll just leave that one with you!!
Not as good as some of the others, but my gelding is passported as Robert.
Have had "Who the **** calls a horse Robert?!" quite a few times when out and about.
I had similar with ‘Gerald’
This is why I always fancy "Lika Nidiot" as a passport name. There is a great wee cob up here that is called Nobody In Particular! It sounds great when read out over the tannoy -xxx riding Nobody In Particular!
Before the days of passports but my childhood pony was called 'Bing'.
