what a beautifully written and heartfelt tribute, it had me in tears when i read it first thing this morning.
RIP Connie - you were both so lucky to have found each other.
Wow that is a truly beautiful powerful tribute that anyone would be proud to receive.
A bond with a special mare is like no other, im sure she will guide you from the beautiful place she is now in, I know my girl does.
Im sure one of your other mares will do Connie proud

Gosh, I'm in tears typing this myself.
What an amazing tribute to a wonderful horse, take comfort in the fact she had a fantastic life with you and knew she was loved to the end.
I am positive she loved her life otherwise she wouldn't have performed as she did until her illness prevented her.
I think you're right, you found each other and it was meant to be. Such a shame she couldn't have retired one day as a brood mare but look how much she achieved in her life, simply stupendous results, and she obviously taught and inspired you.
Run free Connie, I like to think our horses end up in lush green fields with the sun on their backs forever more, I'm sure she is missing you too Laura.
Another one in tears here. Well done to you and Connie for everything you achieved, life is so unfair that she was taken from you so soon. Such a lovely tribute to an inspirational horse. RIP Connie
A lovely poem Laura - it reduced me to tears like others. But do remember you gave her a wonderful life - she enjoyed having fun with you and when a decision had to be made you took it entirely in her best interests. You will never forget her but there are lovely horses out there that you can enjoy and love as much as her. You ride beautifully! Good luck for the future - I will watch with interest.
Laura, although you probably don't know me I've been following yours and Connie's experiences on here and I just want to say how sorry I am for your loss - I can't even imagine the pain you're going through right now.
You and Connie were an inspiration to all HHO readers and although I compete in a different disciple (dressage) have proved to me that you don't need an amazingly expensive horse to compete at a high level.
I hope you find peace yourself - I'm certain that Connie is prancing around over Rainbow Bridge having fun jumping over lots of things and enjoying the lush, rich, green grass which never stops growing. I wish you all the luck with your other horses and that you allow Connie to be your inspiration for all things to come in your life.
