I named Millie and Pixie
as they were both brought as foals.
When I brought Charlie he was 8 years old and had been with his breeder and trainer his whole life. He was turned out in a field and as we were walking towards him I asked them what his name was, they pointed at him and said 'That one,' it did make me chuckle at the time but was quite sad that he (and many others) didn't have a stable name at the age he was (there is no way they called him his racing name on a daily basis!). So I got him home and called him 'Charlie'
So in answer to your question, yes I Love my 3 names, even if they are common or in Pixie's case, slightly unusual!
