I have a small JRT bitch that had a litter of 6 pups (one still born) last year. After the birth she didn't stop bleeding for nearly 9 weeks, we took her to the vet every week after the 3rd week but they couldn't find anything wrong with her after various tests and checks and said to leave her and she would hopefully just stop, which she did.
I asked the vet whether he saw a problem with breeding from her in the future and he said that he didn't think so.
So she came into season a few weeks ago and she was put to the stud dog on Wed, Fri & Sat last week, all went well with coverings and she stopped presenting to the dog on Mon, however today I have noticed a tiny amount of watery blood on her vulva again.
I have rung the vets and spoken to the vet she saw last time and he says that I should take her in to have another check up, but as she is otherwise normal in her behavour I am wondering whether it is worth taking her in just to pay £40 for him to say she is fine and to take her away and keep an eye on her it will probably clear up itself again!!
Has anyone else ever had a bitch like this and is the LIGHT beeding something to worry about???
