Picked up this book at the libary and was expecting it to be a big picture book.

It actually has lots of incredible stories and pictures of 65 dogs that worked at ground zero.

Really is a great read if you are at all interested in any search and rescue work.

Sounds really interesting. Will have a look for it.

You know when people say they remember exactly what they were doing when JFK was shot? I remember the time & place when the live pictures were shown of the Twin Towers as if it was yesterday. Sad times.

I was stood in my Gran's kitchen in my school uniform eating a lolly when it happened isn't that weird that you can remember when, where and what you were doing?

Really makes you realise when you see these pictures how much we owe to dogs. The loyal, brave friends who will put their own lives on the line to save ours! Not many people we can say that about, eh?

Love the pictures very thought provoking. Love the one of the GSD stood against the guy "take me home! It MUST be tea time now!" :) and the Goldie giving its paw as though to say "thank you for your help we've got it covered!"

Awww lovely dogs! I remember being sat in a year five classroom being only a week since starting term, with the tv put on suddenly and seeing it all unfold on the tv in the left corner of the room... it is very strange how you remember what was happening on those days.

I like the sleeping lab one :)
