I’ve just got home from what turned into a pretty yuck dog walk really!
Chose to walk into the village and through the valley, there’s a path up from but following the river, it’s really lovely and I’ve not been in ages.
They have turned out loads of horses along the fields, I realised this a bit late really to turn back so picked out way through mud, intention being to head to the trees of the horses took notice- they didn’t.
The mud was literally too deep to get through the open gates 😫 had to go up hill and over the fences at drier spots and return to the path after.
The last bit to the road was totally flooded and I had to do trips back and fore, took Bertie first and tied him safe the other side then had to go back and fore to carry the little ones. It really was too deep and far for the poor things.

Anyhow, lesson learnt, it’s a summer walk but we did have the pleasure of meeting this chap/ess
Very cute In an ugly kind of way.

Lovely walk yesterday in a park I've never been to before whilst partner was over the road at his dental check up.

We walked over Hafod Estate again in Cwmystwyth, Ystrad Meurig, Wales. We live it there.

We have to cross this massive meadow full of sheep and partner spotted a ewe on its back so helped right it, goodness knows how long it had been there for so that was lucky.

We went on a slightly different route blue/ red and yellow but we we're horrified to see fresh cow muck on the path as we climbed the stile. Last year we came upon the path and there were two young bullocks in front of us! We had to turn back as we were worried with the dog being there. Thinking they'd be a year older and a year more stroppy, we did wonder what we'd do if we came upon them again, but luckilly we managed to avoid them!

We visited Zac's monument, made in memory of a four year old boy who died in a caravan fire and was sad to see his Mum has also passed aged 32.

We got back to the car to find the fuel low light came on, on the car, then we had a big argument when my partner blamed me for letting it run low! I said we'd both been driving and it was both our responsibility!

That sounds like quite the eventful walk! I also always try to avoid cattle wherever and whenever possible and especially when I have my dogs with me. I have had too many close calls over the years.
I hope your partner apologised for blaming you for the low fuel in the car, I wouldn't be standing for that!
What a sad memorial to both the young lad and his mum :(

Ha! Looks like a stag leg maybe?

Hmmm. Maybe. It was taken on the common a few months ago. It's a very open area and I have never seen deer of any description there.

There were however plenty of young born of the animal I initially think it was and you do find dead ones who have failed to thrive every so often.
