Early July weekend plans!

Little dressage lesson tonight. Hes getting to the point now where we work in and then get him working on something rather than using exercises to improve his frame and get him working correctly. Today we played a bit with the canter - needs to be straighter and more equal on both reins. Then some shoulder in to power the mediums which are getting there now. So much power there ?

I had a bitting consultant out this evening, which was really interesting. The difference between her usual bomber happy tongue and the orbit was amazing, so the orbit has been ordered and is on its way. She actually leg yielded to the right, and was able to trot a straight line on the left rein!

Thankfully her bridle just about fits. It could do with shorter cheekpieces, but that model isn't made anymore so it would be a nightmare getting hold of some. (Horsemanship Saddlery Orion, full cheekpieces in brown, if anybody happens to have any sitting around!)
