Lovely post. I'm usually not keen on cobs much at all but she is really really smart!
Thank you so much xx It must be so confusing to be a thoroughbred stuck in a cobby bodyWhat a lucky horse to have found you, she looks to be rather a useful and talented type which might be part of the reason she was so messed up, bright talented cobs in the wrong hands can prove to be rather short on patience, intolerant of idiots who cannot see that they are causing pain or injury and far too much for less experienced riders so very quickly get moved on with every move being downhill in life, her future should now be far brighter in every way.
What an awful start she has had but she really has fallen on her feet with you! It's lovely to her so happy, she's absolutely gorgeous! And your new boy is stunning, looks like a giant in the pictures! Keep us updated!
Oh dear, there seems to be something in my eye...
You've done such a great job with her and she's gorgeous. She cuts quite a figure in the arena, doesn't she? She carries herself very nicely. Seriously, well done you.
May I ask - how long was it between her arrival at your yard and your first competition?
I'm also very jealous of your new ginger giant. I look forward to hearing more about him.
Super post, what a smart little cob.
Ah she's gorgeous, and well done for persevering, I bet her owner who sold her for peanuts has the green eyed monster now! But my, all that white - I hope she likes being washed!![]()
What a lovely post. Misty is so lucky to have found you.
However, 7 horses is far too many. I am willing to help you deal with this problem. You can send Johnny to me today.
Thank you so much!! xx She came to us end of febuary and we bit the bullet and took her out mid aprilHi OP another one thinking you've done an excellent job, she looks lovely. As someone else asked how long did it take to get her from start to competing? I've got a similar mare though luckily doesn't bronc, how do you cope with that and not completely lose your nerve? I'd be terrified to get on.
Absolutely amazing. Well done you! I think you are extremely brave. Nothing more scary IMO than getting on an emotionally and physically damaged horse that might 'explode' at any minute. She looks amazing. Love the new boy too..
Lovely post. I'm usually not keen on cobs much at all but she is really really smart!
That is the best story! What a wonderful outcome for her. Did you ever get to the bottom of how she got the scar tissue. Did someone leave a saddle on her for weeks, sounds baffling?
Aw thank you! Thats very kind of you...well as long as all you want to do is plod everywhere...very slowly...then he will be the horse for youHe has no...omphhh at all...about anything haha
But this is what makes him so loveable
super super laid back boy

Aw thank you so much, thats really lovelyWonderful story to read, she's very lucky to have found you and full of admiration for you for working so hard to let her enjoy life again. I love her markings. Also lovely chestnut too!
I can't believe she has scars from tack
My sisters horse is a wuss when it comes to saddles, and he's never been treated like that, he's had lots of treatnent, different saddles, and he's still edgy when he sees a saddke some days.
I think it's better to leave white horses brown, they roll to make them less visible to predators, washing it off is just cruelthat's what I tell myself anyway

Thank you! Ha Johnjohn tripped over a patch of grass the other day...don't think he'd last long in the wild bless him!Just how I like 'em. My Monty is the same, doesn't see the point in wasting energy. He's 20 now but was the same as a 5 year old. Nobody has ever fallen off him, just fallen over with him! He does everything you ask, but never overdoes anything! Hope you have many happy laid back years with him and MistyMooMare!
Thank you! We were all kind of expecting her to just explode (quite fairly bless her) but she didn't at all!! she was hot as usual but good as gold reallyWhat a lovely picture. Your smile and her ears say it all.
What a fabulous post!! Lovely horses and you've done an amazing job with the 'needs shooting' mare
You really have an eye for a good horse, or two, or more lol. Well done you.
I know me tooWould be interesting to hear what happened to Milly, poor girl. Gorgeous chestnut!
Fabulous thread, brought a tear to my eye. Looking forward to lots more pictures of them both.
Got a tear in my eye reading this - well done! (& your new one looks pretty lush too!)
