I am going to start BE next season and my OCD-self is already running up a checklist of everything I need on the day. Think I have all the obvious things but wondering if anyone has any vital bits and bobs they would recommend taking? Thanks :)

Daft things to remember are to get yourself a number bib and medical card and check that your BP and hat/s are all up to the correct standard. Your horse's passport flu vac etc... is fine.

Otherwise the usual gear for UA ODEs

Got the lucozade and number bib etc already!! Seeing as I'm only 15 the vodka can be kept for my mother when she is crapping herself ;)

Some excellent ideas here, particularly the energy drinks (before) and alcohol (after) :D
BE have some pretty useful pages on their website for people just starting out, including a kit check list: http://www.britisheventing.com/page.asp?section=1161&sectionTitle=Equipment+Check+List

Amazing the things you never realised are on the BE website!!! I always walk the XC with a digital camera and take photos of the jumps so I can refer back in future years as well as do a virtual XC round

Spares for everything, but most importantly breeches in case it's raining and a spare set of clothes to travel home in... Just in case ;)

First aid kit, you and horse including ice pack!
Spare clothes.
A list of kit for checking in to the lorry, I always forget things like my hat!
Picnic chairs.
That's all I can think of for now
