A happy post
Some of you know that just before Christmas I rescued a 9 month old great dane bitch called Evie. She was underweight and very very nervous.
Well she is now a different dog! She has gained some weight (still under weight but much better!), she is 100% better around people! She still gets nervous around new people, especially men, but with a bit of patience she comes around pretty quickly and loves a cuddle. She was amazing over Christmas, I took her with me to my family home, to the local pub, out for a big walk on the beach with loads of other dogs, she has changed for the better and seems a very happy girl! She is best friends with my little terrier cross, she walks perfectly on the lead, always comes back when called, she is just a wonderful dog to have around! Her personality has really come out in recent weeks, she is very much a diva! Refuses to go out in the rain, won't get dirty in the mud, if she gets tired she just refuses to move, and when she gets pissed off with little terrier jumping on her she just sits on him!
She has a very sensitive stomach and I'm finding it hard to get a bit more weight on her, the only thing that seems to suit her is Butchers tripe, pilchards and a basic working terrier mix.
Not sure if the link will work but here is a photo from Xmas ;
