Favourite coat colour?

Liver chestnut, dark bay or black for me. I’ve owned a black horse and a dark bay. Current ponies aren’t these colours.

There was a stunning liver chestnut 6 youngster near me a while ago. It was very dark, with a really light mane. I’m guessing New Forest type and would probably have been very ordinary if it wasn’t for its colour.

Liver chestnut, black (or very very dark brown bay) and greys with lots and lots of dapples are my favourite. But honestly every horse is beautiful in its own way.

Except coloured 🙈 Had a skewbald irish cob a while back and one day a family with a little boy with special needs came by the yard to look at the horses. My friend happened to be there and later told me that the boy looked at my horse, screamed " It's a HORSE-COW!!!" with utter delight and demanded to pet it. She told me that she barely could hold it together when she allowed the boy to pet the horse cow, and ever since then it kind of stuck for us. So now whenever I see a coloured I think to myself "it's a HORSE -COW!" and smile a bit.

I love skewbald, but I could be biased because my old mare was skewbald and she was amazing!

I try not to admit I love greys as my much as I do because I might end up getting one and regret my words with all that cleaning, lol. But buckskins are also very pretty to look at.

I had a liver chestnut and he really was the most beautiful colour.
I have a blue and white horse but at 31 he is mostly white, unless he is wet.
He is fabulous in the summer when he shines. Right now he is plastered in mud.

I like a dark bay, dun or black, maybe a coloured horse if the colour is in the right places such as the legs, mane and tail😁

Roman noses are a big no no in my world! The one this you have to see over the stable every day is the head so you may as well have something you like.

I'm not keen on flaxen manes and tails. I like a deep, rich chestnut end to end. Not keen on socks but if they have them they have to have an even number and on certain legs - 2 or 4 socks. If 2 they have to be either on the hinds or the diagonals. Never over the knee/hock either. Never have 1 or 3 socks - it makes the odd leg out look thinner or lame. Blazes have to be neat and tidy, not wide nor through the muzzle.

Coloureds have to be evenly marked with more dark colour than white and the tail has to be dark.

I'm not pick honest 😂🤣😂

I love a dapple grey (to look at not own 🤣). However I really love a shiny bay or bright chestnut and I have had both.

I think with the help of HHO we decided to describe his colour as “walnut”

Dappled grey as dark as possible, like a rocking horse. I’ve never owned one but I adore them. I have a black mare now and she’s very glamorous abut I wish she didn’t have heavy feather white socks. I also love a golden dun, and very minimally marked piebalds.

No to chestnuts (bad experience), spotted (pretty but mad and frequently injured in my experience, read somewhere that Native Americans rode them to war so they would be angry when they got there), and not a fan of cremello as they look like they have sore eyes. Prepared to be challenged though, my previous rule was NO MARES and NO COLOUREDS and the coloured mare I bought was awesome.

I like a blue dun
I dont know what colour it actually is, but the Rocky Mountain horses with their pale manes/tales on a variety of darker coat colours I think look amazing!
Silver dapple. I personally really like silver dapple on blue dun.

I'd not have a homozygous silver though because of the eye problems
